Berlusconi Nazi jibe sparks fury

Luigi, the sawed-off shotgun please!

As a payback one could now compare Berlusconi's rhetoric with the one of a former infamous German politician (ok, it's just an impersonator). Very similar, aren't they?

The CNN article is light on Berlusconi's crimes: what about the very serious allegations that he not only stole money, but ordered some judges, who investigated too deeply into corruption and mafia, to be killed?

Yes, his links to the Cosa Nostra and P2 are very interesting.

A comment on Berlusconis Nazi-jibe.

And the newest trouble with Italy.

Insulting tourists from the country which accounts for a large part of your own income - about 70% of italys tourism income is generated from german tourists - is a stopid move from a minister responsible for tourism. But when the government responsible doesn't take immediate steps to rectify that, its worse. And when the minister says that he doesn't understand whats wrong with his remarks, and that he wanted to defend his chef, berlusconi, who had been insulted by a german magazine which compared him to a mafia boss.
This shows what a strange understanding of democracy is around in italy under berlusconi: the minister thinks german press is controlled by german government, because that's the way it works in italy, so if a magazine prints something unpleasant, the german government is responsible for it, and the german people are to be insulted.

Oh, and for the record: there are certainly enough blond, macho german tourists out there, who misbehave and drink all the time - though they are mostly infamous at the isle of mallorca, the famous bar of Ballerman. Its like the pictures shown of spring break, with more older men, and less sexy girls. But these types aren't all german tourists, not by any measure. Italy has been favorite holiday country for families and normal people for a long time, starting in the 60s, because of the nice, sunny weather, good, sandy beaches, friendly people, esp. with children, and easy-going mentality. As well attractive is Northern Italy and Rome with the many cultural highlights.

It all boils down to p*nis envy. There is a very good reason that this (media.de.indymedia.org/images/2003/03/43285.jpg) URL is not clickable. Sentient adults only!

Now schroeder is acting un-smart, too, by cancelling his holiday, which effectivly hurts the ordinary italians trying to make living, who already have to put up with berlusconi.

Well, like berlusconi says, its his loss.
