Sean Hannity

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Political Musings: Political Figures: Sean Hannity

By Rona on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 - 7:48 am:

I just have a question on Sean Hannity. Does his two part "interview" with Bush (on FOX) really qualify as an interview? Or ass-kissing?

By Derrick Vargo on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 - 11:20 am:

Rona - Just for a minute, can you pretend to give Pres. Bush SOME of the credit he deserves? If for nothing else than attually being our President?

"One thing that you can tell from the video is just how hard these guys work." -- Sean Hannity 2004-11-18, talking to a caller about the video showing an American soldier killing a wounded, unarmed Iraqi man

By Rona on Saturday, January 22, 2005 - 9:30 am:

Hannity is a good example of how low the level of "political" debate has become on tv. Last Monday, responding to Sen.Kennedy's statement that Iraq has become Bush's Vietnam, did Hannity discuss the issue. No, he attacked Kennedy as having no "moral authority" because of a traffic accident Kennedy was involved in in 1969. Then again, FOX News has no "authority" itself. It's just the wealthiest 527 Republican group. It exists soley to pimp the message of the Republican Party and to attack the Democratic Party and its canidates.

By Harvey Kitzman on Saturday, January 29, 2005 - 12:17 pm:

Hannity is a tool - an a$$ kissing tool of the Republican Propaganda machine that is Faux News. They Distort, You Comply.

By Rona on Sunday, February 06, 2005 - 10:24 am:

My opinion of Hannity has sunk even lower. A couple of days ago he vigorously defended the Marine General who said it was "fun to shoot some people". That statement is an affront to anyone with a an ounce of of human decency. It also affirms the fact that right-wingers are total bigots. The General tried to qualify his statement by mentioning that the Afgani men he shot oppressed women. Since Hannity's beloved Pope is an oppressor of women (refuses to allow women priests, opposes birth control, etc), would it be acceptable to shoot him? No. But right-wingers find it "fun" to kill third-world Muslims.

By Mike Cheyne (Mikec) on Tuesday, September 09, 2008 - 7:28 pm:

I haven't watched Hannity and Colmes in a few years, but I did tonight.

In less than a half hour:

*Hannity attempted to make a connection between an Obama joke about "dressing up a pig with lipstick" to a line in Sarah Palin's acceptance speech where she used the word "lipstick." Even Mike Huckabee wouldn't support Sean there.

*Hannity called Tucker Carlson a liberal, which prompted Alan Colmes to respond by just laughing.

*Hannity fumed that Sarah Palin doesn't get the credit she deserves for governing "the largest state in the Union."

By Adam Bomb (Abomb) on Sunday, March 08, 2009 - 6:41 am:

There's no more Hannity and Colmes anymore; it's just called Hannity. Colmes left the program c. 1/1/09. Avoid the show when Newt Gingrich appears; that's when it becomes a Ronald Reagan lovefest.

By Brian FitzGerald (Brifitz1980) on Sunday, March 08, 2009 - 9:28 am:

It's always been a Ronald Reagen love fest. During the election he kept repeating the lie that Reagen's tax cuts for the wealthy actually increased tax revenue. The truth is that every decade since the great depression tax revenue has increased (at least on paper) at about the same rate because of inflation. During the 80s it actually increased at a much slower rate than it had in the previous 40 years because of Reagen's tax cuts for the wealthy. When someone would try to explain that he's interrupt them and cut them off; admittedly that's a problem with many so called 'liberal' positions. They are a bit more nuanced and don't fit well into sound bytes.

On Hannity's program he even has a segment where he plays viewer calls to his "Hate Hannity Hot Line" and of course he always plays the most ignorant, bitter, uneducated sounding messages of the hundreds that he no-doubt receives. It's a good propaganda technique to showcase the worse of your opponents like that so that you can than just dismiss out of hand anyone who disagrees with you as one of "those people."

By LUIGI NOVI (Lnovi) on Sunday, March 08, 2009 - 12:09 pm:

Mike Cheyne: Hannity fumed that Sarah Palin doesn't get the credit she deserves for governing "the largest state in the Union."
Luigi Novi: If its population was proportionate to its size, that might indeed be noteworthy. But since Alaska is the least populated state in the country, and all that land is just wilderness, I don't see how this makes her job difficult. But hey, Hannity never met a logical fallacy he didn't love, eh?

By Josh M on Sunday, March 08, 2009 - 2:36 pm:

Second least. Wyoming is #1 in that department.

By steve McKinnon (Steve) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 2:12 pm:

Hannity is completely ignorant about the stock market, too.
Prior to the disasturous end of '08, he suggested to a guest that maybe American's shouldn't reveal to the rest of the world how bad the economy was.
Hey, doufus, you can't hide that fact from anyone!!! It's a world economy, and it could never be hidden.

I saw that segment of the Hate Hannity hotline once, and it looked completely fixed to me. He turned his back to the camera, and we heard irate callers. How do we know the sound wasn't turned off in the studio, so Hannity wouldn't hear criticism? And without a facial expression responding to his critics, it was so lame and phony.

Hannity (and another Fox a-hole, Lou Dobbs) think that Trump's first 100 days have been "close to perfect." IMHO, Hannity's head is so far up his ass, it will never get out to see the light of day. More here.

I tend to agree, but not for the reasons they think

By Adam Bomb (Abomb) on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 - 8:03 am:

Hannity's head has gone further up his ass, if that's possible. He tweeted some deranged nonsense about Obama's official portrait, then deleted it. You can read about it here.

By Adam Bomb (Abomb) on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 - 1:30 pm:

Hannity has a book coming out this August 4, titled "Live Free or Die: America (and the World) on the Brink". Something I, and I'm sure lots of others, won't be reading. I wonder if it was ghostwritten, since Hannity's sphincter is so tightly wound, he's unable to pull his head out of his ass.

By Adam Bomb (Abomb) on Wednesday, June 03, 2020 - 2:06 pm:

"Sanctimonious" Hannity and his wife of twenty years, Jill Rhodes, have divorced; the divorce was finalized about a year ago. More here.

By Adam Bomb (Abomb) on Tuesday, October 06, 2020 - 7:31 am:

Hannity is a bigger a-hole than I, or anyone thought possible, and he is definitely out of his f...ing mind. He compared Trump's response to the Coronavirus to FDR and Winston Churchill, and said that Trump caught the virus as "he cares too much about the American people". Hannity must be deaf and blind; with Trump, it's been about Trump, and nothing or no one else. Even as Trump left the hospital, he still made it all about him. More on this totally outlandish, nonsensical and idiotic statement here.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Wednesday, October 07, 2020 - 5:31 am:

Hannity is clearly one of Orange's stooges.

By Adam Bomb (Abomb) on Tuesday, December 01, 2020 - 9:16 am:

Another idiocy from stooge Hannity: Mr. Greasy Kid Stuff said that Trump should pardon himself and his family. To fend off a possible "witch hunt" from incoming president Joe Biden's administration. Witch hunt my eye; any investigation will have more teeth than a tiger 's mouth. And, if Nixon couldn't pardon himself, then Trump can't. Watch him try, though. More here.

By Francois Lacombe (Franc0is) on Tuesday, December 01, 2020 - 9:34 am:

Trump could resign on January 19, which would make Pence President and allow him to pardon Trump and family. That would only take care of Federal level offences though, which Biden would have no incentive to prosecute anyway because it would establish precedent that would allow Republicans to prosecute him after he leaves office. However, Trump is also being investigated for all sorts of state based and financial offences, and a presidential pardon would have no effect on those.

From the White House to the big house!

By Adam Bomb (Abomb) on Thursday, September 22, 2022 - 8:04 am:

In an absolutely disgusting display of bootlicking, Hannity interviewed former (I repeat - FORMER President Butt Face, after the suit by New York State had been announced. I couldn't get past the clip shown on local news. In which Hannity, with enough of the greasy kid stuff on his hair to allow for two oil changes in my car, calls Loser Don "Mr. President." (Yes, I know it is proper protocol to call ex-presidents "Mr. President". Still, Fat Boy Trump doesn't deserve the title.) I don't know how long the bootlicking session lasted, but I had enough.
