Geez. Now it's the "Nuclear Nine", I guess.
If the USA were to invade (however stupid that would be), would China go to the defense of NK or just sit by? I ask because China was also critical of the nuclear tests too.
I know we'd defend SK and Japan and all, I was just curious what other people thought the "teams" would be for WWIII?
PV: If the USA were to invade (however stupid that would be), would China go to the defense of NK or just sit by? I ask because China was also critical of the nuclear tests too.
They objected, but I don't think that would only go to a point. I doubt they're going to stand by and let the U.S. just invade their ally.
Arrgh, I did not mean to type "don't" in there. Sorry about that.
Freudian slip?
China has said today they would not support any military action against NK. They will only support some form of sanctions for now.
If they don't have a missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, do they have aircraft capable of doing so?
Yes, They have soviet made bombers. While these aircraft pose no threat to the United States, They are a danger to Japan and SK.
Disclaimer: If their nuclear warheads are too large to fit within the bombbay of one of their bombers, they do have cargo aircraft too. Actually, that would be a more practical way of delivery than a bomber given that a bomber will be picked up by radar much quicker than a passenger or cargo aircraft.
NK said today that it would consider any sanctions against them an act of war. Not surprising, I guess, but I wonder if they would still feel that way if China signed on(which they may do depending on what kinds of sanctions)
According to MSNBC today the French government believes that the test was a failure due to its small size. Some analysts think such a statement will only encourage NK to do another test(though I think they probably will do another one anyway)
Yeah, really. Score one for diplomacy.
i found it VERY IRONIC that the US launched a "Lunar Probe" the day after the Korean Missile Crisis started.
I think it's really a spy satellite or a defense satellite to spy on Korea or destroy the Korean missiles after they are launched
John, if it were intended as that, it would've taken a lot more planning time. I don't think they could've decided to conduct a satellite launch, and do so, on the same day as the event that provoked it.
Possibly....but....as you recall N. Korea tried to launch missiles at America a few years back and failed. The satellite could have been planned at that time and launched the day the new missile test was announced.
Yeah, that makes more sense.
Except for the fact that they've already got lunar pix from LCROSS.
It's working incognito.
"Little Boy" Kim Jong Un wants all dogs in North Korea confiscated. More here.
And, Little Boy gets fatter, as the North Korean people starve.
If I were Kim Jong-Tubbo, I'd be keeping a close eye on that sister of his (Kim Yo-jong).
Wouldn't surprise me if the evil little b*tch came gunning for his job.
