Robert J. Elisberg of The Huffington Post on the Tea Party Movement's demand of "I Want My Country Back"

Wow. What an incredible piece.

Here's Blogger Matt Taibbi; on his experience attending Tea Party events in an article that he wrote for rolling stone

A hall full of elderly white people in Medicare-paid scooters, railing against government spending and imagining themselves revolutionaries as they cheer on the vice-presidential puppet hand-picked by the GOP establishment. If there exists a better snapshot of everything the Tea Party represents, I can't imagine it.

Tea Party-backed Republican candidate for New York's Governor, and crackpot extraordinaire, Carl Paladino first accused Democratic candidate Andrew Cuomo of extramarital affairs, then backed down. He also threatened NY Post Albany Editor Frederic Dicker. More here. For your information Carl, it was Andrew's wife, Kerry Kennedy (RFK's daughter), who cheated on him.
I have no love for Andy Boy, but if loose cannon Paladino is elected, all New Yorkers are in big trouble. Also, Paladino is a major hypocrite. He extolls "smaller government" yet he has made a good chunk of his fortune from government, via tax breaks and state leases he holds. Just like the old folks at the Tea-Party rallies (transported to them from their Medicaid-paid nursing home beds in their Medicare-provided vans) in their Medicare paid-for scooters, wearing their Medicare-provided catheters, taking their Medicare-provided medication, railing against "big government." (Sorry I one-upped you, Brian, but I couldn't resist).

I've seen an ad for Christine O'Donnell on a national newscast which basically says "I'm not a witch...(continues on with much political doubletalk)...I'm you." Well, if she was me, I'd divorce myself.

Adolf Hitler would have approved.
