I noticed there was no thread for Nikki Haley (nee Nimarata Randhawa). Now there is.

So now, it's between Donald and Nikki. The results of the Republican primaries are no longer a foregone conclusion. Things are looking up, kinda.

Whaaaaaaa??????? 'Looking up'????????
Nikki is about as much a hurdle for Trump as a piece of gum on the sidewalk! The whole thing has become a horribly rigged campaign and Trump will actually be the Republican candidate! Once again, Trump is just being handed power without lifting a finger or entering a single debate!
Everyone that says anything against him winds up being brainwashed (or blackmailed) and actually begins to support him! Now it's DeSantis's turn to be Trump boy toy and support this wretched criminal!
I've ignored the vast majority of press and interviews of DeSantis but wouldn't he have been even the lesser of two evils between him and Trump as the final pick?

Well, now the votes against Trump are no longer divided, and Nikki has the full financial backing of the big Republican donors. She can out spend him and out campaign him effortlessly. She also appeals a lot to the not Trump, the moderates and the undecided, who are still more numerous than the MAGA crowd, and she keeps going up in the polls. That consolidation to a single opponent should have happened earlier, but it's not yet too late.

Pretty much anyone would be the lesser of two evils against Trump, even Satan himself.

A trained chimpanzee would be a better choice tan Orange Peel.

By steve McKinnon (Steve) on Monday, January 22, 2024 - 5:27 pm:

I really hope you're right, Francois, and wish nothing but the best for Nikki.
It just seems sometimes that the media is in on it and Trump is just being handed a second chance, despite all his crimes, rudeness, childishness, and stupidity.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 - 5:11 am:

One advantage Nikki may have is her age. She's 52 (younger than most of us here). That may allow her to connect with younger voters.

Besides, someone needs to tell the baby boomers (which Orange Peel is one) that their day is over. There is precedent. Although he lived another 25 years, Bob Dole was the last of the World War II generation to run for President, back in 1996.

There comes a time when a generation has to step aside and make way for the younger ones, like Nikki.

I wish Nikki luck today.

Nikki Haley suspended her presidential campaign as of 10 a.m. (ET) today, no doubt in regard to her relatively poor showing in the Super Tuesday primaries. She, however has not endorsed (four times indicted, 91 charges against) GOP front runner Trump. Who, in his usual childish way, made fun of her birth name, her qualifications to even run for president, and I'm sure other items that display Sissy Face's total lack of intelligence. You know. The same b/s he pulled on Obama. More here

By Francois Lacombe (Franc0is) on Wednesday, March 06, 2024 - 11:21 am:

Oh well. At least she did not endorse him, which means that many of the people who would have voted for her in the general election won't vote for him. In an election where margins in the low 1000s can make all the difference, this may be the deciding factor.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Thursday, March 07, 2024 - 5:02 am:

At least she refuses to fall in line and march along.

By Francois Lacombe (Franc0is) on Thursday, March 07, 2024 - 6:06 am:

Nice little epilogue for Nikki's campaign.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Friday, March 08, 2024 - 5:03 am:

Indeed.
