Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Red Dwarf: Red Dwarf X: Trojan

Well, that was fun! Good to see the Cat being more 'catty' again, which I missed in recent series.

It might take me a few episodes to get used to the crew being so much older.

I hope they'll explain why Rimmer is a hologram again.

Loved the ongoing moose joke, especially the bit between Rimmer and Cat.

Best line: "No, we just hosed him down and gave him a hat."

I didn't laugh out loud much, but it's good to see the boys from the small rouge one back again.

When and where was that shown?

Watching the scene with Lister & the Cat talking about moose & I thought "The boys are back!" :-D

Also liked the Star Trek parody aspect (okay, maybe not a straight parody, but close enough.)

However their ability to contact somekinda authority seemed out of the blue. Previously they would only get messages long out of date (sometimes millions of years) so the idea that they could send a message and get a quick reply seemed unusual. Also I got the impression from previous eps that there wasn't much left of any kind of authority in the galaxy.

I liked it, it was very 3-4 series-like. Much better than Back to Earth, or even series 8.

Given that we have seen Rimmer cheat on tests before, why was he being so honest taking the test for advancement?

How exactly was the trivia question about the 1970 car crash a "lateral thinking" problem?

Also what relevance would that have on a test for SPACESHIPS? Are there moose & trees in space?

I guess you have to think laterally to apply moose and trees to spaceships...

Yeah, that bothered me too. Who the smeg were they talking to here?

I presume the nanobot created crew are still wandering around out there somewhere.

It would be nice to get Holly back for good someday.
