If everything Irene did was wrong then is it even likely that the machine would have worked? Part of me was expecting the attempt to unlock it to fail & then discover that the bomb wasn't even connected or something.

I'm surprised people still wear glasses in the time the Dwarfers originally came from (which is about 200 years from now, I believe).

I mean even now we have laser eye surgery that can correct vision. By the Dwarfer's time, you would think glasses would have long since become obsolete.
