There’s actually a lot about the Cat we don’t know, there’s a whole history to him prior to meeting Lister and Rimmer that we know nothing about.

But is any of it interesting?

He was born after the other cats left and there was just him his mother, father, and the priest. So his "adventures" would be him wandering around the abandoned Red Dwarf looking for stuff.

It would have been interesting to go into the background of Cat history and such.

Also, there is the question of that other Cat ark. Where did they go? What if the Dwarfers happened upon the world they colonized?

We'll probably find out in the upcoming movie.

Fans have been wondering about this for more than thirty years now.

And now we know.

Nice that the Cat, even though he could have gone with the other Cats, chose to stay on Red Dwarf. As he himself said, it was his home.
