How much longer will they keep digging this once great show up? I feel like it's suffering from Simpsons syndrome- should have been retired a long time ago. Season 8 was definitely the last great season of the show.
Look at this, Tim and Rodney:

Excellent.
I'll take a look when I can.

the special will doubtless be better than the last three Star Wars episode films (for a start, they won’t need to dump the script on a writer doing the novelisation to explain away all the plot holes and ambiguities - part of the fun of Red Dwarf is the plot holes and ambiguities!
Red Dwarf and SW are light years apart.
I must say, I'm looking forward to this.
the new trailer... looks enjoyable.
Bit cruel to put Barrie back in his old outfits from more than 30 years ago though!
Llewellyn is almost an old age pensioner so putting him in the Kryten suit also seems cruel somehow.
At some point Grant Nayor Productions will have to either have a final curtain call for the show and a cast that is pushing sixty and seventy or hand over the show's storyline to Lister and Cat's descendants, Kryten and Holly's upgrades and Rimmer's fresh reboot!
I wonder when, or if, this will air in Canada.
It's good to see Rimmer's "Captain Emerald" look from Red Dwarf III again in the trailers for The Promised Land. Always liked that RD call-back to Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. ITV tacked on a "REMEMBER: Captain Scarlet is indestructible BUT YOU ARE NOT!" voice-over after the media reported kiddies hurting themselves trying to imitate him.
So Rimmer is back in his green outfit then.
A sneak peak at the first five minutes.
Thanks for posting this, Keith.

in the episode where the Cat race reappeared and the Cat met his brother, shouldn't he have had a bit more to do?
Always wanted to see more of the Cat race. Looks like I'm getting my wish.
I loved it! Really funny, and some hilarious touches (the catflap, the cigarettes in the ears, the laser pointer etc).
Glad you liked it, Callie.
When I get to see it, I'll post my own thoughts.

1. Don't know how they shaved those beards off so quickly. Once scene they have them, the next they don't.
2. Re: Kryten's plan at the start to create a human-cat hybrid by giving the Cat a sex change. When they actually meet some female cats, who happen to worship Lister, wouldn't it be an ideal time to bring up the plan again?
A human-cat hybrid. Is that even possible.
We're talking two different species here.
Basically, Kryten gives some technobabble about a device he has that can perform a sex change. He's actually talking about creating another human, so Lister won't be the last human alive any more.
However, no mention is made of the fact the Cat is a different species. It's my assumption the offspring would be a hybrid, not a full human. The fact this isn't mentioned is a rather large nit.
Yesterday I went on Dailymotion to see if this was there, and it was.
I've always wanted to see what became of the Cat people that left RD. I got my wish.
Loved how the audience applauded once Norman Lovett's face appeared on the screen.
Oh Rimmer, why couldn't you have waited until they made sure that hologram upgrade was safe.
Loved that little prayer song the Cat people kept singing.
Cat says that RD is his home. Awwwww...
Lister finally comes clean and tells the Cat people that he isn't a god after all. Of course, this leads the Cat people into believing that Rimmer is their god instead (and you could almost see his head expanding when they began their little song, with his name in it).
I liked this one.
