Who is the "coolest" god?

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Mythology: Kitchen Sink of the Gods: Who is the "coolest" god?
By Electron on Wednesday, July 19, 2000 - 7:23 pm:

I vote for Offler!

By Matt Pesti, V Moderater, Myth Lord (Mpesti) on Thursday, July 20, 2000 - 9:35 pm:

The Furies. Wouldn't that be a great job?

By Spicolius, the god of slackers and surfers on Friday, July 21, 2000 - 9:17 am:

I'm the coolest god!

By Scott McClenny on Sunday, July 30, 2000 - 2:35 pm:

Ok,maybe it's my Viking ancestry asserting itself
here but I vote for the entire Norse Pantheon!

By Jessica on Sunday, July 30, 2000 - 8:40 pm:

Athena. Goddess of war and wisdom. Can you get any cooler than that?

By trekkerxphile on Friday, December 29, 2000 - 10:55 pm:

The Muses, people, the Muses. Although Athena/Minerva and Loki also rock

By Matthew Patterson (Mpatterson) on Saturday, December 30, 2000 - 3:09 pm:

I like Polyhymnia, myself. Cool name. Muse of sacred music.

By Electron on Saturday, December 30, 2000 - 5:56 pm:

I also like 'Dite in her Alex Tydings incarnation. ;-)

By Padawan, with a lame pun on Thursday, May 31, 2001 - 12:42 am:

Posiedon, because he spends all the time in the nice cool sea!

By Darth Sarcasm on Thursday, May 31, 2001 - 4:57 pm:

Of course, that would be Poseidon.

By Merat on Thursday, May 31, 2001 - 8:34 pm:

He was just following the most commonly remembered advice, "i before e, except after c" but forgot the other half...

By Merat on Thursday, May 31, 2001 - 8:35 pm:

Oh, also, I like Robin Goodfellow. He seemed to be a friend to mankind but still the kind of god you'd want at a kegger.

By Padawan on Friday, June 01, 2001 - 12:04 pm:

Darth Sarcasm - I knew it looked wrong. Thanks for the correction. Do you know how it's pronounced? I say it "Poss-EYE-don".

Merat - Is Robin Goodfellow really a god? And are you really not Brian Webber?

By MErat on Friday, June 01, 2001 - 12:38 pm:

No, Im really not Brian Webber. My first name is actually Michael, but when I first came here both that and Mike were already taken. And I THINK he is a god... are Satyrs gods?

By Merat on Friday, June 01, 2001 - 12:39 pm:

Just out of curiosity, why do you ask?

By Padawan on Friday, June 01, 2001 - 12:59 pm:

What, about you being Brian Webber? I dunno... you posted as Merat once on LICC, and I've never seen you there any other time, but I do know that Brian Webber often uses his alternate names there. Also, when you write "actions" you put an asterisk * at the beginning and end, same as he does.

By Merat on Saturday, June 02, 2001 - 9:46 am:

Ah. I find LICC somewhat... overwhelming, so I've only posted there once, though I sometimes read it :) I have no idea where I picked up that * habit though.... maybe an old rpg?

By Padawan on Saturday, June 02, 2001 - 2:08 pm:

If LICC's too overwhelming maybe you could take part in one of the smaller RPGs on the "NitCentral Adventures" board in the Kitchen Sink?

By Merat on Saturday, June 02, 2001 - 3:03 pm:

Hmmm.... sounds interesting..... Maybe I will do that. :)

By Padawan on Saturday, June 02, 2001 - 3:07 pm:

Yeah, we're always looking out for new posters on "Rainbow Man and Sprinkle Boy"!

By BF on Thursday, June 14, 2001 - 11:58 pm:

The Knights of Silvercliff and Jack Mightee, Iron Jawed Detective could both use new posters. (JM, IJD is dying! Other than a post made by Nawdle (he's Vic Hardin), I'm the only one posting there!)

Coolest god? Thor. Sure, the Greek gods are truly immortal, while the Norse ones aren't (they have to eat those golden apples), but I think Thor would beat Zeus like a drum! (And if he didn't, Big Daddy Odin would)

By BF on Thursday, June 14, 2001 - 11:59 pm:

I mean posting in JM, IJD lately. Others posted as Max Kowalski, Steve Milshock, and Nicky the Squid, but they've stopped. (And yes, I know who they are)

By JD on Friday, June 15, 2001 - 1:25 pm:

Well, whaddya want me to say? I have a villain and a informer. You've got all the regular main characters...

By Matt Pesti, Moderater of Mythology (Mpesti) on Friday, June 15, 2001 - 10:07 pm:

Thor beat Zeus? No way! Thor just has a dinky little hammer, and is assulted by giants every so often. Zeus won every battle he was in, save the Zeus vs. Typhoon, but he won the rematch. Thor couldn't beat some snake. As for Odin, he wasn't a warrior, he was a sage. He collected dead warriors to fight for him. Zeus was stronger than the rest of the gods combined (Save the Fates), and would have turned Thor into a pile of ashes. The Norse gods were always living in fear of giants.

Not that I care or anything, but I'm sure there are boards to discuss the Cybersoaps. Recruit here all you want with impuny, though.
