A. For the most part, most mythlogy is a part of World Literature and Cultural writting, rather than religion. Thus it can be nitpicked like any other literature.

2. Nitpick mythlogy. Continuity (Let's say, Persues stoned Atlas, but His grandson Herakles met Atlas.) There are still Plot oversites (How come the Furies didn't go after Medea), Equipment Oddidies (How come no one but Zeus and Pallas can se a Thunderbolt.) and Changed Premisies (The Olympians liv on Olympus, but the moutian was used by two giants) or the Mudane (There are no gods or palaces on Mt. Olympus.)
