Lucy Goes to Alaska
Lucy, Ricky, Ethel and Fred invest in some land in Alaska. They arrive in Alaska a day early and find no room at the inn they were going to stay at, but Red Skelton lets them stay in his suite. Red and Lucy end up flying a plane when the pilot is knocked out -- even though neither of them can fly.

The Eleventh Doctor also had a little trouble with a hammock in The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe.
Lucille Ball is of course a redhead and the said Doctor Who had a brief appearance by fellow redhead Karen Gillan.
