Fred Mertz
Fred was Ethel's husband and the Ricardos' landlord. e was Ricky's confidante and advisor. He used to be in vaudeville (with Ethel) and was sometimes in Ricky's show. He was a notorious penny pincher, and he insulted Ethel -- a lot.

Gee wouldn't that be something if the Ropers and
