Ethel Mertz
Ethel was one of the Ricardos' landlords (the other was her husband, Fred). She was Lucy's best friend -- and the best friend anyone could ask for. She was always (well, almost always, anyway) ready to help Lucy in whatever crazy scheme she was coming up with next, and even when they fought, they couldn't stay mad for long.
