Ricardo Fernando Alberto Ricardo y de Acha III
OK, so that's his full name. Usually he was just called Ricky, of course.
Ricky was a bandleader at the Tropicana Club, which he later bought and renamed Club Babalu (after his favorite song).
As author Gerald Jones stated, "Ricky is...a mercurial mass of cockiness, anger, self-doubt, and stubborn authority, all made grotesquely funny by Desi Arnaz's accent and awkward delivery."
He's also my favorite character. Don't ask me why; so many people choose Lucy. He just is. :-)
