Lucille Ball played Lucy Ricardo on I Love Lucy and was married to Desi Arnaz, who played Ricky, in real life. She is widely regarded as one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, comediennes of our time. She died in 1989, but will be forever remembered.
She starred in a radio sitcom called "My Favorite Husband", I Love Lucy, The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, Here's Lucy!, The Lucy Show and Life With Lucy. She was also in many, many movies and Broadway productions.

If it were not for Desi and Lucy (Desilu) there would be no "Star Trek", but especially Lucy, as Trek was produced under her auspices.

Well, did anyone watch the CBS tribute show on Sunday, the 11th? It was better than I thought it would be. I'm not sure of the gimmick of having the public vote for favorite episodes, but that's what happens when you've got an Internet.
I was blown away by the spot with Jorge Moreno, the Arnazes and the big band. Mucho caliente! And I thought it was fitting that Latino celebrities paid tribute to Desiderio Sr.
And the footage of Desi warming up the audience and introducing the cast was priceless. Any other thoughts?

Loved the footage of Desi explaining the 3 camera technique, and being blocked by the camera!

I knew the favorite was going to be "Vitameatavegamin"!
