Lucy misunderstands a conversation between Ricky and his agent, and begins to believe that Ricky is going to murder her. Concerned about his wife's actions, Ricky attempts to give Lucy a sedative, which she thinks is poison. Certain she'll die any minute, she drags herself to the club and "shoots" Ricky with his own fake gun, which she thought was real.

No, that was a different one. The "lost" pilot was remade into the one where Lucy plays the horns like a seal.

Yes, I actually saw the pilot when it aired on TV a few years ago. It was basically similar, but not as funny.
You know, they had problems with the dog act at the end of the show. It took forever to get the dogs to cooperate- just for that five second shot!
