This nit properly belongs to last week's episode, but it has huge significance for this week's plot, so I'm repeating it here.
Continuity Error: While burying the bottle, Sun's wedding ring keeps appearing and disappearing from her hand.
Seemed like something of a filler episode. The Jin/Sun flashback was interesting, but was it pertinent to the story?
Is this going to be like the DC/Marvel universe in that every one of the "good guys" who initially fights each other will end up working together?
I saw the teddy bear, but it didn't look like Walt was with it.
Speaking of comics, Influx, was the name "Jae Lee" (the rich guy with whom the matchmaker set up Sun) a reference to the comci book artist of the same name? It's possible that "Jae" is a very common name (we know that Lee is), and we've already seen plots that relate to things seen in comic books on this series.
The bald guy sure knew how to stick his foot in his mouth didn't he? Can I tell you a secret? I just wanna use you to get mom and dad off my back til i can run away to america and be with a woman i love there. What was he expecting, her to just go yeah sure i got nothing better to do with my life than be a doormat. Sorry to sound like Rona here but that guy was a big dufus and needed to have his martini dumped in his lap.
Ahhh. Finally saw this tonight. Not bad. I think that chronologically in terms of the episode order, this is the first one of the season that I liked, where it begins to get interesting (aside from the very end of Adrift).
After tearing apart her garden, Sun tells Locke that she doesn’t think she’s ever seen him angry. What about when Mike went after Jin after Walt burned the raft in …In Translation?
Influx: Seemed like something of a filler episode. The Jin/Sun flashback was interesting, but was it pertinent to the story?
Luigi Novi: Not to the "now" portion of the plot specifically, but teh flashbacks provided deepened insight into Jin's character. I enjoyed it.
So Influx, how about those link to the martial arts stuff you've done that you mentioned before?
Man, what a memory... Thanks for your interest, but for personal reasons I choose to remain totally anonymous to people on forums and chat rooms, even those I have come to "know". I decided against sharing those links, sorry.
Okay. (And it wasn't memory; I was going through the boards to verify which episode was the one with the raft being set on fire, and when I found it was ...In Translation, I went through that thread.)
