As the reeling submarine survivors search sullenly for Desmond, Hurley encounters Jacob again and a decision is made that will change one of them forever. Meanwhile, the Man in Black continues his plan to rid the island of the candidates and finds a not all that surprising ally.
Notes: -Mira Furlan returns this season as Danielle Rousseau and Michelle Rodriguez makes an appearance as Ana Lucia Cortez. -Jack is cut again, as he was on the plane in LA X. -Desmond makes Dr. Linus see flashes of the other timeline. -Jack utters a "coincidence for fate" line similar to one said by Mr. Eko in What Kate Did. -Jack replaces Jacob as the island protector. -MiB kills Zoe and Ben guns down Widmore. -Desmond's abilities can apparently lead to the island's destruction.
