Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Buffy, The Vampire Slayer: Buffy Mortuary: Britney Spears on Buffy?

I was just looking at the official posting board and there seems to be alot of concern over this. Personally,I would hope she would not be on the show, but that is because I do not think she has any acting skills.

I think it was rumored that she'd play April, the android in "I Was Made to Love You." Which, if this is true, would have seriously damaged it for me as a lead-in to "The Body" due to the fact that I'd have been unable to take it even remotely seriously. Not that it was very serious to begin with.

Found this at the IMDB: Britney And Buffy To Battle It Out?

Six episodes with Britney?

I really hope the reports are false it will not make me stop watching the show, but I would be dissapointed if they had her on the show. From what I have seen she is a terrible actress.

Hellish demon, they got that right.

I really hope this is just a rumor, though. Buffy fulfilled its blond diva quotient with Glory.

She would have been good in "I was made to love you." I assume the "Mommie" scene would have been cut out. Granted, the whole point was to create a jaring contrast, especially with the dying April to the lifeless Joyce.

Bring her on, if she raises the ratings and gets more people to watch the show, great. If shows were perfect we would be out of a hobby.

Dawn mentions, when introducing herself to the class, that she's a fan of Britney's early work, before she sold out. Later, we see the mayor, talking about how he sold his soul. I wonder if Britney will be playing as herself, having sold her soul to the devil for her musical success? And now that we know Britney Spears exists in the Buffyverse, how would the show explain her appearing as any other character than herself? A lot of nudge-nudge, wink-wink "You sure look familiar!" jokes? In any case, I'd love to see what happens.
