So we are getting down to the finale of the series and I was wondering before it gets here what does everyone think or hope the finale will be like?
Myself,I think it be interesting if they go back to the Mental Hospital theme and have the ending be Buffy waking up from the coma that that ep. ended with.
The only problem here is that it would do havoc with the entire Angel series.Unless Angel and Buffy met in LA.
I really don't know at this point. It's possible that Caleb and the First win and The World Ends. After last week's eye-gouging, I think Joss is making sure we know that anything is still possible. My best guess: Caleb and the First will be defeated, but not without some human cost. Buffy might die again, but maybe not. Willow? She's already had her Big Trauma as a character. Dawn? Doubt it. Giles? There's still talk about his getting his series and/or TV-movies. Anya? Nah. Andrew? No. Kennedy? Too peripheral a character. Xander? Maybe, but perhaps the eye was all he'll lose.
Of course, it's possible that no one will die, but given the last two seasons ended with the deaths of Buffy and Tara, respectively, it would seem appropriate.
The only seasons that did not have major characters die were three and four, and almost all of them had important supporting characters die.
Season 1: Jesse, and Buffy
Season 2: Jenny, and Angel
Season 3: Harmony, Larry, and Snyder
Season 4: Walsh, Angleman, and Forrest
Season 5: Joyce and Buffy
Season 6: Warren and Tara
Season 7: Jonathan, several potentials and (Buffy? Faith? Kennedy? Willow? Xander?....)
Don't forget Principal Flutie in "The Pack."
I've read the spoilers for "Chosen." Frankly, it sounds like a combination of Season 3 and Season 4's finales.
So they're going to blow up the school, but it'll all be a dream?
More along the lines of "Planning session, then big fight scene with huge explosion" So Buffy Finale #2.
#1: Apocalypse Now (1, 5,)
#2: Pre emptive strike on Apocalypse. (3,4,7)
#3: Buffy takes intervention out of friend's hide (2,6)
>How Will It End? <
With the "Grr, arg" monster, of course!
How will it end? Poorly, if the rest of season 7 is any indication.
I agree, Matthew. Much of this season has been rather ho-hum... except for a few revelations (like the relationship between Spike and Wood), the show has been pretty much on a treadmill... not really going anywhere... and these supposed anything-can-happen shock moments (like Xander losing an eye) seem really obvious. And why on Earth did they spend so much time this episode griping about Xander's friggin eye when several of the girls DIED!!!?
I'm curious if they plan to tie up some of the loose ends they brought up earlier this season... like those dream visions of Buffy's mom...
You know what we don't like about this season? It's LICC.
