The movie is your typical 'boy meets girl. boy takes girl to romantic stargazing spot. boy gets hit by moonrock. boy becomes lizard. lizard kills people. lizard gets fried' story.

My favorite host segment is Mike's documentary on The Band That Played 'California Lady'. Your typical showbiz story...(grin)

The two best riffs in this were at opposite ends of the movie:
Shows a very slow moving piece of machinery(was it a telescope? I couldn't really tell)
Mike: Inside Al Gore's head

Monster exploding casting a weird red light everywhere
tom servo:"And the Monster's red glare!"

Those were the ones that made me laugh the hardest.

(While the monster is walking thru the house)
Tom: Why are we seeing this from a realators walkthru perspective?!

I laughed so hard at that!

"Stop talking Johnny Long Bone!"

This was a great episode.

How did some of these scripts get made!?

The monster costume was designed by multi-Oscar winning makeup and creature design wizard Rick Baker. He would have been 22 at the time the movie was made. Even the best have to start somewhere.
