You know It is movies like this that prove that any idiot along with his son can make movies.
Why the heck does Tim keep taking his shirt off? Apparently Chuck Jr. believes himself to be a magnificent physical specimen.
Further evidence that the SciFi Channel never cared about MST3K: they let obvious profanity slip by in this episode. When Tim returns from the woods after they test the tracking "computer" the first time, Doc says, "Boy, you scared the ("s" word) outta me." I bet the Brains left that in to see if anyone at the Channel was paying attention. I guess not.
Good, I'm not the only one who noticed that! That wasn't bleeped out at all, or atleast very poorly I hope the FCC fines Sci Fi to hell and back. those ****heads deserve it.
Well Considering Tim's Real dad was the director, I guess he also along with his son is a magnificent physical specimen.
Hmmm, on the tape I have (I taped this one when it reran a couple of weeks ago) the profanity is indeed bleeped out.
Pretty funny episode, though the movie hurts bad.
"And then Mom, and then, and then, there was this big hairy guy, and he put me in a room, and he gave me bacon to eat 'cause that's ALL HE HAD!"
Good episode, pretty disgusting, what with shirtless boy, the outhouse story, and...Crenshaw. The performances are awful, especially Pierce fils. The monotonous flashbacks and the film's lugubrious storytelling technique (like setting up monster kills that never happen) are good for riffing. And as Mike points out in the DVD intro, the monster actually turns in a pretty good performance.
The sketches were okay. Brain Guy's haunting ballad was hilarious (and a good showcase for the talent of Paul Corbett), but the whittling sketch is pretty awful.
Just so you all know, this is a sequal to a movie based on "True Events." Heh heh
On the wings of a dove.
This the one with Dawn Wells (Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island) in it?
Dawn Welles appeared in Return to Boggy Creek, which came out in 1977. Boggy Creek II is actually the third Boggy Creek movie, which I admit is kind of confusing.
Should have called this one Boggy Creek III then.
Airport 1975 was actually released in 1974. So this sort of thing is hardy unknown.
I imagine they were treating that Airport film like a car model year, getting people hyped for it.
Of course, the first Boggy Creek movie was based on actual accounts.
The two sequels are purely made up.
