Great line: "Eww! Wizard whiz!"

Now, isn't that song they play at the beginning the absolute worst song for the type of movie and the (supposed) seriousness of it? Really silly little song. Oh well, I suppose any movie that features flying wizard wiz can't be taken seriously.

So, this is how Da Vinci got his inspiration, huh?

Really annoying kid, David Warner gives double dose of bad acting, and nothing happens in this stinker. Although Bill Corbett did a funny New York type Leonardo Da Vinci.

"I'M COMING!!"

I do belive this was a SciFi original movie. AND THEY STILL RIPPED IT A NEW ONE!

By Chris Diehl on Monday, March 10, 2003 - 11:49 pm:

I think this movie was made years before the SciFi Channel existed, but it is true they showed this ... thing.

Chris, I remember Scifi promoting it as an original production.

Jake, I agree completely. Why would you have silly music during a SLAVE AUCTION?! I was surprised that they didn't mention this....

By JD on Thursday, March 13, 2003 - 10:14 am:

(during said music and auction)

"This SOUNDS like a movie that should have Matthew Broderick in this."

I cracked up at that line. Now, deep in the very heart of this movie, there was perhaps the gem of a good idea, and the START of good filmmaking, but unfortunately the incompetence very soon set in. I love this ep, tho.

"Thanks for not breakin' the sticks."
"Well, tell Prince Jumpjugs we're sorry!"
"That's a good age to start as a slave."
"Please hammer, don't hurt 'im!"
"No, MintGiver, we love you!"

"Athena was always a princess"
Crow: "Or a cheerleader or a naughty nurse"

"I'M COMING!!!!"

Alas, David Warner. He's got good one-off roles (like the Hornblower miniseries or that B5 episode) and then he's got stinkers like this or 'Star Trek V'. Favorite riffs at his expense:
Je m'appele 'Bite me'.
Warner: Can you spell 'Baydool'?
Crow: Hmmm, G-e-t B-e-n-t... No, I guess I can't!
