Did anyone recognize the music Mike played on the water glasses in this episode? It's the theme to a short (about 3 minutes) astronomy show that runs on PBS. The host of the show is Jack Horkheimer, and he talks about interesting things to watch for in stargazing while acting rather zany.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Oh, well. I've always liked that show, so I thought it was really funny when Mike played the theme song in this MST3K episode.

Sure--"Jack Horkheimer: Star Gazer." It used to be called "Star Hustler", but I guess the title offended uptight people. By any other name, it would be just as goofy.

"Some people hustle pool, other people hustle cars. Here's a man who hustles stars: Jack Horkheimer--Star Hustler!"

Oy.

That was a good and beautiful thing to say!

Narrator: “The Moon has become the launching place for advanced exploration.”
Tom: “Of the Moon.”

Narrator: “This story you are about to witness is only ...”
Tom: “... a first draft.”

“Sorry, could you not tape this? I’m panicking right now.”

“Richard Kiel! A real star for once!”

“Well, movie, I sure hope you can justify all these personnel.”

“Attack of the Killer Peanut Brittle!”

Crow: “Today the Moon narrowly missed hitting a man’s eye like a big pizza pie.”
Tom: “Scientists believe that’s amoré.”

Chapman: “Well, you’re the colonel.”
Tom (as Chapman): “I’m the weird guy.”

“Permission to talk in flowery prose again, sir?”

“Cool, huh, watching them check things of which we don’t know what they are?”

“Lipstick of the Gods!”

“OK, let’s take roll call. Me: here. Ray: dead.”

“Maybe they’ll run into Wallace and Gromit on a cheese tour!”

“He needs a Posture Pal.”

“He’s a spaztronaut!”

“... and that’s why I’m dressed as Quentin Crisp.”

“Wow, this is almost as good as 2001 ... nails driven into your eyes.”

“He’s just out for his morning swagger.”

“Linoleum tile doom!”

Old guy: “Show him the prisoner.”
Mike (as Liara): “We’ve got all the episodes on tape.”

(The alien ‘puppy’ carries Zeta off)
Mike (as alien): No more frisbee catching – I’m on a whole ‘nother level now!”

“Wow, the monster dresses like Carol Channing!”

Zeta: “I have many things to say to you.”
Crow (as Zeta): “Like ‘pickle’.”

Chapman: “You have such an adorable little face.”
Tom (as Chapman): “I think I’ll jam my tongue into it.”

Zeta: “I know my love for you is so strong ...”
Mike (as Zeta): “... I can overcome my revulsion.”

(During the flashbacks) “Come on, we didn’t like these scenes the first time!”

Chapman: “She had such an adorable little face.”
Tom: “Hell, so does Paul Williams, but you don’t French kiss him!”

Saw this movie on YouTube, not too long ago.

Time I'll never have back.
