This has to be my favorite of the Sci-Fi Channel episodes. I love the 70's jokes, and the way M&TBs hammered at the use of the word "turkey." Plus the Jim Stafford jokes ("I'll bet he doesn't like spiders and snakes", "She's my girl, Bill").
I don't know why the 70's became so funny. It wasn't funny when I was living through it, but now, all I have to do is watch a MST of "Angels' Revenge" or "Riding With Death" and I'm on the floor.
I agree that this was one of the funniest episodes of the Sci-Fi era. Turkey Volume Guessing Man had me rolling instantly. Crow looked so cool in that costume. I think the mask sold it. All the 70's jokes, and Servo's song, were just hilarious.
Does anyone really know what They said when it sounded like "New England Journalists?"
Best Line- "Winged Bears? Omigod, it's the end times"
We're reading Tacitus in my Latin class, and the prof was talking about things that happened during his lifetime. And I was able to answer the question "Who was emperor when the Colosseum was finished?" all because of Servo's song in this episode! I wouldn't have remembered so easily otherwise... :-)
And remember, when riding with death, please buckle up.
Jason, I think that New England journalists line was something like 'You look like you're enjoying this'
Sam, how do you spell 'patent'?
My patent papers are at a slight angle Sam, what's going on?
Sam, my patent papers are wondering why we've stopped.
Sam, my patent papers are flammable!
Sam, I'm blown to several thousand bits, but I've got to finish these patent applications!
It can't BE! You're invisiBLE!
...and he's still cleaning his glasses...
