Here's another canditate for worst movie ever shown on MST3K.

In the first scene, Fu Manchu uses his mysterious machine that turns water into ice to sink a ship with a giant iceberg. This scene is nothing but stock footage from an earlier Fu Manchu movie called "The Brides of Fu Mancu" (which is MSTable as well but nowhere near as incompetent) and the black and white 60's Titanic film "A Night to Remember".

When I say "first scene" I mean only scene because the rest of the film is so randomly patched together that it makes no sense. The host segments all involve Tom and Crow breaking down and crying because of the evil of this movie. Watch at your own risk.

Ah, Fu Manchu....he has the ability to put anyone watching into an involuntary coma.

This was supposed to be part 5 in a series of Chu movies. goes to show that bad moviemaking is universal. poor choreographed fights, scenes of virtual darkness, and indecipherable dialogue really makes this torture.

I have to admit, the host segments are real funny to watch...Joel and bots definitely lose in this one, there's lots of crying and pain, and the Mads give lots of high fives. Frank also does a really great Joe Besser

"I'll harm you!!"

I was wondering why that shipboard scene was tinted blue.

Thanks to Project Gutenberg, I once tried out one of the original Fu Manchu novels. And naturally there have been a few liberties taken. One of the odder things I noticed was near the beginning when one of the minions panicked and tried to stop whatever it was they were doing, resulting in his being shot by Fu Manchu. Fu Manchu is contemptuous of firearms and he and his minions never use them. Also Dr. Petrie is not only much older than he was in the books (where he was fairly youngish), but he's also suffering from Nigel Bruce Syndrome, having become noticably more bufoonish.
