310 - Fugitive Alien

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Mystery Science Theater 3000: Season Three: 310 - Fugitive Alien
By Brian Webber on Saturday, December 19, 1998 - 8:11 pm:

In case you don't remember, one of very few songs inspired by a sci-fi show originated here. You know, "They tried, to kill him with a forklift1"

Nomination for best line:
Rita: "But I can't kill the one I love."
Crow: "Then kill the one you're with."

My wife says she can't stand MST3K, but she burst out laughing at that one.

My all-time favorite MST3K episode (also the first one I ever saw). The orginal seems to be a ripoff of Edmond Hamilton's Starwolf novels. Fugitive Alien II borrows not inconsiderably from "Star Wars".

Actually I found out the other day that this is indeed an authorized film version based on Hamilton's "Starwolf". A laughable job of it, though.

Who thought of this series made for TV? Though that Rita was one fine space chick! Clumsy Ken got whooped by Captain Joe...hah hah.

And what's up with those blond wigs??

By Captain Joe on Thursday, June 21, 2001 - 10:48 pm:

AHHAHAHAHAHAHAH . . . YOU'RE STUCK HERE!

By Todd Pence on Sunday, March 12, 2006 - 9:46 am:

Joel and the bots in this episode make a reference to the film "Marooned", which next season will become an MST3K experiment under the title of "Space Travelers".
