Mike's logic on trying to escape was CLASSIC MST3k

Best riff in this episode: "I guess he's a 'felonious' monk!"

Watching Joe Don Baker huff and puff his way through the streets of Malta running after Palermo, I was reminded of my favorite riff from "Zombie Nightmare": "Hume Cronyn with John Goodman on his back could outrun this guy!"

In all seriousness, I think this episode shows that MST3K is running out of gas. The movie was just dull (and extremely violent for MST fare), the riffs on Joe Don's weight got old really fast (yeah, Joe Don's fat, but save the fart jokes for "South Park"), and the host segments were just not funny. Don't get me wrong, I love the show, but I think the Brains chose this movie to get one last shot in at Joe Don. MST has always been one of my favorites, but after ten years, I think the creative juices are starting to dry up.

I don't agree with Bela, as I thought this was another Good outing for the MST3K bunch. Too bad it all had to end. If you saw Mitchell, there were a lot of good inside jokes in this one too.

There's really no point to it, but I might as well mention this nit: At one point Joe Don is chasing a thug down some stairs and shoots his gun at him. Then he checks how many bullets he has left, and he's not missing a bullet.

I should really just relax.

This really isn't a nit, but several times during the movie, Joe Don isn't drunk off his @$$, stuffing pork rinds into his disgusting pig face.

Sorry, that was out of line. I apologise to any pigs I may have offended.

Moderator, shouldn't the title just be "Final Justice"? "The Final Justice" makes me think of a buddy movie starring Joe Don and Rowsdower. I wonder who would play the slutty love interest? That Troy McGregor kid? Ewwwww....sorry for that mental image.

After Mitchell, Joe Don said that if he ever were to meet the Brains and he knew who they were, he'd kick their asses. I wonder what he thought after he saw this episode. Probably "I'm gonna kill those bas......do I smell chicken?"

I think Joe Don would most likely just bounce off Kevin if he tried to.

(Joe Don walks in the rain)
“The first time water has hit his pants in over a year.”
“At least from the outside.”

Palermo: “You son of a [rude word bleeped out].”
Mike: “What?”
Tom: “What do you think he’s a son of? A preacher man? A son of a son of a sailor, maybe?”
(later)
Palermo: “You son of a [rude word bleeped out].”
Tom: “... something!”
Joe Don: “Get off your knees, you son of a [rude word bleeped out].”
Mike: “... the same thing you said.”

Palermo: “You’ll get your chance, cowboy. You can make a book on it.”
Tom: “It would be called ‘Getting your Chance’.”

“Malta, makers of fine crosses, knights and falcons.”

“High Goon.”
“The Ugly, The Ugly, and the Ugly.”

(Joe Don drinks a tall glass of milk straight down)
“His arteries are just looking at each other, shaking their heads.”

Joe Don (to the hookers): “Excuse me ...”
Tom (as hooker): “Not for any price!”

(Joe Don chases Palermo, dressed in a monk’s habit)
“This is papal bull, man!”
“I’m gonna go catch me some monkfish!”

“This movie’s really drawing me in ... to a deep well of despair.”

(During the interminable boat chase)
“It’s dangerous for Joe Don to be in the water. Someone’s bound to harpoon him.”
“Where’s the perfect storm when you need it?”

Joe Don: “You know, my ancestors ...”
Mike (as Joe Don): “... were large soft rocks.”

“Our hero: a murderous oaf who threatens women with coathangers.”

“The movie Midway had fewer boats than this!”

(Joe Don jumps overboard before the boat explodes)
Palermo: “I don’t see him.”
Mike (as Palmero): “There’s an elephant seal ... oh, that’s him.”
Palermo: “He lives with the fishes.”
Tom: “Although they’re actually trying to kick him out.”
Crow: “Meanwhile there’s tsunamis slamming into Italy.”

Joe Don: “Thanks a million!”
Tom: “That’s thanks a ten with the exchange rate!”

Crow (as Maria): “You’ve given me a lot to think about ... like how can one man be that sweaty?”

Maria: “You’ll never come out of there alive.”
Crow: “Yay!”

Joe Don Baker's name appears in the opening credits:

SERVO: Oh, I wish I was illiterate so I didn't have to read that!
