Joel is riffing again! He, together with Trace, Josh, Frank, Mary Jo and others, have set up Cinematic Titanic and will be releasing their first episode soon.

Oh! A shot from one of their movies is on that screen! Any ideas, people?

By Callie on Monday, November 26, 2007 - 9:33 am:

Blimey! It could be anything! As far as I can tell, it's just the rear view of a blue car!

I think the two faces on the right of the screen might be Trace and Mary Jo participating in the meeting by conference call.

Doesn't Joel look old in the pictures lower down? :-(

By Merat on Tuesday, December 04, 2007 - 6:00 am:

Bah, Joel the weasel photoshopped that picture, lol! No telling what isn't really there!

Seriously though, from what he said, I think he did the screen, adding in the pictures of Mary Jo and Trace. There is a picture up there now of Trace working on the Time Tube.

The first DVD from Cinematic Titanic is now available for pre-order. Go to their site (see link above) for a link to the sales site.

To my enormous distress, however, I've found that the DVD is not available in the UK. Why?! It's not like I'm in some obscure country at the ends of the Earth with Miles O'Keefe and Thong!!

I'm in for a grumpy new year.

Well, I got the DVD in the mail today. Its in a paper envelope, no DVD case. *sigh* And... well... its not that great. There were a few jokes that made me laugh and a few more that made me smile and a few that were in very bad taste, including the Hawking joke.

The lack of Mike Nelson shows, I'm afraid. First, his writing ability is missed and so is his stabilizing influence on the political jokes. From reports that I've read, he tended to remind some of the other writers that they DIDN'T want to annoy half their US audience by putting in repeated jokes at the expense of one political party.

Hopefully they'll get better on subsequent releases, since this was basically a pilot movie. We'll see! Good luck to them, since I like them all and want to see them put out a quality product.

One thing. The theme is great and has been stuck in my head for hours!
