"More blow butter!"
Title comes up
"Care to be more Pacific?"
Beam weapon destroys a building.
"The orphanage!"
I've seen this unMiSTed, but it's much better MiSTed.
Kind of funny that the only survivor was a little girl in the bar. Even assuming the surviving adults already left there should be some wounded survivors in the bar, perhaps struggling to get out.
Missed opportunity.
When the black guy brought the little girl out.
[as father] That's not my daughter! You brought out the wrong girl!
[as black guy] Aw man!
So I guess the big question is, "Did the Pacific Rim sequel rip off the Pacific Rim knockoff when it came to melee weapons?
The big question is why the mech pilots weren't told about their melee weapons until they were in the middle of the climatic battle.
BTW I believe it was bull butter (with half the calories of real butter but with same great taste).
Yeah, that makes more sense than what I remembered.
Never heard of this one either.
It's... an Asylum film.
Okay, I will say more, although frankly the quality of Asylum doesn't really vary much even if they do have a broader catalog than it seems.
I believe they started off doing special effects for TV & movies before making their own films. The scripts usually fall into the "Ehhh, it's okay" category. The acting is likewise, although they do get actors whose mainstream careers appear to have ended. (I like to call it, "Asylum, where acting careers go to die.")
They are known for Mockbusters (movies that sound suspiciously like blockbuster movies), so Pacific Rim is a hit, they make Atlantic Rim, Transformers is a hit they make Transmorphers, rinse, repeat.
They also make movies based on old public domain stories 30,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mysterious Island, A Princess of Mars, etc.
They've also had success with the Mega Shark and Sharknado franchises (I recommend the Rifftrax versions of Sharknados 1 & 2.)
They also do a bunch of '80s inspired R-rated "comedy" films. (Probably best enjoyed with the mute button on.)
So all you never wanted to know about Asylum films. ;-)
Oh, one of those.
From the same people that brought you the Sharknado movies.
Yep. It is better than the Sharknado films, but that's not a high bar to cross.
Plot, uh, there are ancient monsters hatching in the Atlantic that have to be stopped by three pilots in giant mechas.
And how many has-been actors were in this one.
There's Graham Greene as Admiral Bullbutter.
How did he get roped into this? Did he lose a bet!?
Could be as simple as how there are always more actors than roles in Hollywood, and the rent don't pay itself.
Could be.
