This is the one I'm really looking forward to. It has the look of a community theater adaptation of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series (which I mean in the best way possible). The fact that it was made by a collection of scrappy misfits way outside the Hollywood system In Alabama has me thinking this could be the Time Chasers of Nu-MST3K
Except this predates The Dresden Files by decades.
Hardly. This is the most recent movie to be featured on MST3K so far, having been released in 2019. And it doesn't look to be something that had been used to collect dust for decades like The Dead Talk Back. Meanwhile the first Dresden Files novel Storm Front was published in 2000. Mostly I was alluding to how it appears to ape the urban fantasy noir concepts popularized by The Dresden Files.

Whoops, sorry Gordon. I misread the title of this movie as Demon Seed, which came out in 1977.
My mistake.
It appears that the unriffed version is available on Amazon Prime (for rent and purchase) and Tubi (for free though presumably with ads). I prefer going into MST3K episodes blind when possible. But I am so sorely tempted to check out this one beforehand.
Tubi??
A free with ads streaming service. A treasure trove of shlock (including the Adam West Batman), both wondrous and horrific.
Tubi is one of the main channels my dad watches on his Smart TV (Roku comes next).
As Neon of Clownfish TV (on YouTube) likes to point out, when Disney overpaid Rupert Murdoch for the Fox library, Murdoch used a small portion of the money to buy pre-existing channel Tubi and he basically had an up and running streaming service before Disney got Disney Plus up and running.
Thanks for the info
Fun Fact: The budget for Demon Squad was $15,000. To give an interesting comparison, Robot Monster cost $16,000 to make in 1953.

"You got me, Moon."
Oh, he had her the second she saw that hat.
You're a loose cannon, Moon! I want your gun, your badge, and your dagger on my desk first thing in the morning.
Wait, how do we know he's not delusional and didn't just straight up kill an innocent woman?

"I'm not cheap."
Tell that to the Groupon I'm holding.
Are we there yet? Oh wait, I'm driving.
Yessir. Some people just call 'em all demons and call it a day, but not our man Moon.
Yeah, but beyond the danger it can put you in, to not know the difference between a Galbore from a druid from a Cambrian, to them, it's just plain hurtful.
Meanwhile, in the city's other building.
This looks like a job for someone else!
"What about this?"
Oh, this is a little fooler we call Find the Lady.
Very nice. 1d6 with piercing and reach, +2 against undead. It's a solid roll.
"I do this for all my clients."
Yes, I see them under your bed.

But for now, here's Lilah's book report on Super Fudge.
"There's a Peruvian vengeance spell that's supposed to turn a man inside out."
It's hilarious!
Forget it, Nick. It's Demontown.
"How angry are you?"
I don't know. How angry would you feel if you just lost your favorite hat?

My one weakness, a firm but gentle push.
"If you're willing to talk, there are some of us who listen."
Not me, but others.
Demon Squad will never be back in anything ever.
Clearly they knew a stinker when they were making one.
A crowdfunding effort for a Demon Squad sequel recently came up in Kickstarter.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fightingowl/lets-make-demon-squad-2
Wonder if it will succeed.
Well, so far they've got 10,000 of a 125,000 dollar goal that they have to reach before April 20th. Most crowdfunders tend to make most of their money in the early days and near the end, soooooo...
Yeah, it's a bit iffy, isn't it.
Ten percent with 25 days to go doesn't seem like a strong start.
These Kickstarter things are always hit or miss.
The first attempt came up short. So they've scaled back to a more modest figure in a second try. The target has already been met, but I'm sure they'd appreciate more contributions.
