This chapter of course shows what would happen if everything played out had Peter blown up NY. If that were so, how did Sylar get D.L's and Candice's ability? We have to assume that Linderman would still use Mica to help Nathan win the election, so in turn Niki and D.L. would go get him when Peter blew up; which also begs the question how Niki survived as well. I suppose he could've got those abilities from two others with similar talents but then, becoming President under Nathan's appearance and having Mohinder at his disposal, he could've tracked down somebody else with regenerative ability instead of Claire. Adam certainly would've lived from that explosion.

This is one of my favorite chapters but not only do I not see Matt turning out the way he did, but it's also a good indication that the hunger Sylar has is all in his head because even though he's gained many more abilities he seemed to have stopped and now just wants to get rid of the competition.

It's still unknown where Sylar got his phasing but he mentioned Candice by name, which doesn't make sense because she would've been at ground zero for the explosion. It's been asked before but why does future-Peter have a scar?

When Matt forced Claire's location out of Noah he said it was because he "didn't want to go back to the President empty handed." I believe he was referring to future-Hiro and Peter escaping, but when he got back the prez was neither mad nor did he even bring it up. Also, if Matt knew what Noah was doing why did he kill Hana?

Sylar's reason to kill off all the "special" people who wanted a "cure" was to get rid of the competition. What competition? He was the President and probably had dozens of abilities himself! Who would stand a chance against him, except maybe Peter? Also, just because he was displaying the illusion of squared-away Nathan doesn't mean he should let himself go; his hair looked like it was about eight inches high :-)

This may have been mentioned elsewhere, but in this ep (and others I believe) people are concerned about the Haitian's power dampening ability, yet Parkman is still able to use his telepathy unencumbered with him in the same room. We see that the Haitian has great control over his memory-altering ability, but the power dampening seemed to be proximity-related.

Did not one person turn to see the prez and Peter fight to notice it was actually Sylar? It's been five years, and Parkman never once read 'Nathan's' thoughts and realize it wasn't him?
