Terik: Regarding Sylar vs Peter:
I think the show established that Sylar is not part of the genetic code.
In case you didn't find out by now, Gabriel Grey was on Suresh's list because he was the very first person Mohinder's father went to for testing. He called him patient zero.

Steve: Sylar and Peter are the two most powerful people in the show and all Sylar uses is his telekinetic power. Where's the freezing power? The super hearing? The metal melting power? Peter simply punches Sylar. He doesn't use his invisibility, his telekinesis.
When Sylar was at Primetech the doctors said his most apparent ability was telekinesis, but aside from his primary ability I'd say super hearing was runner up. He used that quite a bit in almost every episode since he obtained it. Peter isn't really as adept at using his gained abilities by this point, nor can pick them up as fast as Sylar, even though he should considering he's been around him quite a bit already.

About that 'final battle,' Sylar is hit several times by somebody with super-strength, then stabbed through the chest, and yet still has the strength to hurl Hiro across the plaza. Granted, being impaled by Hiro's sword didn't seem to pierce his heart, but the punches and parking meter should've almost taken his head off!

I think this show is even better when watching the whole season a second time.

As were were watching this episode, right after Hiro stabs Syler and he drops down, Hiro pauses with is sword ready...and then does nothing. My wife and I were both screaming at the screen "chop his head off, chop his head off"

given how much grief Noah went through with this guy and considering he knows how dangerous the man is I am surprised he didn't recommend a little excessive force.
