Thanksgiving

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Heroes: Volume 5 (Redemption): Thanksgiving

I spoke too soon. Now somehow Nathan's consciousness is fighting Sylar's, which is incredibly odd considering only some of Nathan's memories were in Sylar's head, not his whole psyche. At first I thought Sylar was just toying with the Petrellis, and I wish that was the case.

To nobody's surprise I'm sure, based on the last few eps, Samuel killed his brother Joseph, and now the family knows. Samuel had his Bob Marley friend do something to Hiro's mind and then he teleported away. Samuel already had control over Hiro through Charle, did he really have to do that? Hiro's brain tumor doesn't seem to be bothering him near as much as it use to; not very consistant at all.

Way to go Noah! Inviting the former flame to Thanksgiving to compete with Sandra, nice. It happened during the invite to Claire, but no mention of Lyle during the dinner. He must be the black sheep :-)

Lyle got a mention in passing before the meal, but this is typical of the way the writers treat him. I suspect they invented him to give Claire a bigger family, but ever since then they haven't had a clue what to do with him and he has often just disappeared with no explanation, even during really dramatic Bennet family moments.

I want to continue enjoying this series but it's now getting so complicated that I'm having trouble keeping up. Partway through the meal at the carnival, I had no recollection of what had happened to Hiro, nor why he wasn't at the meal talking with Claire.

So have we really seen the last of Nathan now, and is Adrian Pasdar out of a job? Cos if he suddenly reappears after what was, effectively, his symbolic suicide, it'll be pretty pathetic.
