Helen orders the Cleaner Clone to jump off the roof. After he’s gone, she says, “Death means nothing to you, does it?” I would have thought that the fact that he took a long run-up and therefore presumably hoped to make it across the (albeit pretty impossible) gap means that he’d at least rather live if he’s got half a chance.

Connor looks at the ADD and says that the anomaly is “in the city.” However, the ADD gives the postcode of the hospital as TW8. That’s outer London (formerly Middlesex), not the city.

Why is Jenny, the PR girl, not at the hospital to smooth things over?

The pregnant girl seems rather unphased by a man with a big rifle running around in her room.

Abby grabs a diicotodon, handles it for a while and then goes straight back to helping to deliver the baby without washing her hands.

Nice twist: the girl not calling her baby boy Nick.

Lester is super cool with a gun pointed at his head!

Abby, the self-defence expert, takes ages before tackling the clone, leaving him to half-strangle Lester. I know he’s an annoying boss, but still ...!

While Nick argues with his clone, the tannoy relaying Helen’s message goes silent. Shouldn’t they have kept it going for fear that she could override her recorded command?

Where are the rest of the military as Nick and then Connor go back inside?

How did Helen get caught in the blast when she was further away than Nick was when the bomb went off?

Great moment: Nick’s exasperated “Oh, for God’s sake” when he sees Helen aiming a gun at him.

Why doesn’t Helen make sure that Nick is dead if, in her opinion, his death is so essential?

Once again Andrew-Lee Potts steals the show with his awesome display of angst. He’s much better like this than as the comic relief.

Killing off two of the major characters within – effectively – four episodes can’t be good for any series. Douglas Henshall wanted to leave, unlike James Murray (Stephen) who was killed off by the writers who never liked his character, but they could – and perhaps should – have come up with a different departure for Nick.

WHAT?!?!?! I can't watch the show without Cutter. I'm afraid they have lost a loyal viewer now, I assumed it would be a case of "Cutter will return by being a clone" type of thing.

The viewing figures in the UK were shocking for this episode - understandably as it was up against the Doctor Who Easter special. Many viewers, I fear, will come back next week, say, "Wh...? Nick's dead?! I've missed the most important bit!" and not bother watching any more.

And I thought that the BBC were making a mistake by putting "Robin Hood" up against it! Oh well, bang goes another series....
