It was pretty obvious that the episode was starting in the middle, but I sniggered at my predictive powers when I said out loud, “Eight hours earlier” just before that exact figure came up on the screen!

Ben Miller’s true accent briefly slips out when he says, “No idea,” to Christine.

What’s the use of a Keep Out sign on the inside of a fence?!

Why is the bunker full of cobwebs but the lodge is just dusty?

Why would the scientist trapped in the observation room have written his last entry in code? Because of the undamaged nature of the skeleton it seemed that he died of starvation in there rather than was killed by something that came through the anomaly, but if he knew he was dying I would have thought that he’d have given up on using code long before his death. I suspect that the skeleton ought to have been more obviously mauled.

I’m not sure that Danny’s idea of sending the girls back to the lodge was wise – it was a hell of schlepp away and the bird could keep up with a fast car.

Great lines (and not from Lester!!):
Connor: “What’re you doing up there?”
Danny: “What do you think I’m doing?”
Connor: “Dunno. It’s kind of why I asked.”

Danny lures the bird onto a mine but none of the team even call out his name to see whether he’s survived. Even if the team was already at gunpoint by then, you would have thought that someone would have yelled out for him.

78 rpm records are fairly sturdy but I’m still not sure that the one inside Danny’s shirt would have withstood the pounding it took, especially when he fell off the wire and then rolled over.

Once again the anomaly conveniently closes down just at the right time for our heroes.

Lovely moment: the ARC team applauding Lester’s return, and his attempt to hide his embarrassed surprise. However, I’m not sure what the significance or relevance was of the “Over the Rainbow” soundtrack.

Connor recovers very fast from a considerable head injury (he was VERY unconcious for a while), plus the fact that this is the second time in almost as many weeks (how long is it between episodes for them?) that he's sustained a head injury. But he gets out of the car and is leaping around with no problems.
