The quad bike gets tossed into the air by a rhino and its engine revs dramatically before it hits the ground. Why do directors always include this unrealistic sound effect when a vehicle is airborne?

I like the way Lester tells Danny, “Don’t do anything I’ll regret,” knowing full well it’s useless telling him not to do anything he shouldn’t do.

Lester’s “DO NOT” instructions all over the flat (especially “DO NOT ask me why”), together with the cordoned-off area where Connor is allowed to be, are hilarious!

Good continuity: Danny still has healing scratches on his neck from his run-in with the predators.

How did Christine sweet-talk her way into keeping her job?

It’s interesting that Eve says that some anomalies are invisible – how come we’ve never encountered one before?

Why do Sarah’s and Connor’s detectors go weird simultaneously at the campsite? It’s never explained.

I know it’s always difficult with greenscreen and reacting to something that’s not there, but Sarah’s eyeline doesn’t match one of the rhinos when it puts its head down to her, and she doesn’t react at all when it nearly steps on her.

Becker goes off to “secure the area” which I would have thought would include evacuating the campsite, and leaves the team on its own (as usual!) to risk their lives with the rhinos. He and a few of his colleagues arrive once it’s all safe – then the rhinos stampede towards the camp which hasn’t been evacuated. So what were he and his crew doing in the interim period? Having yet another tea break?

The rhinos gallop side by side towards the campsite. Eve activates her doohicky which opens a fairly small anomaly – and the rhinos conveniently line up in single file to go through it!

How can they possibly keep this story quiet when so many civilians saw a bunch of giant rhinos disappear into thin air? Has Jenny even been replaced as the PR person?

Once Eve morphed into Helen, and on rewatching, I realised that the actress playing Eve did a very good job of imitating Helen’s mannerisms without giving too many clues in advance.

Has Helen considered that if she explained in detail exactly what will happen to end civilisation, maybe people will take action to prevent it?

Christine and Helen tell the soldiers at Christine’s HQ to get out of the way and they do so ... and apparently go off on another tea break, leaving the ARC team unlimited access to the building.

If Helen has this shapeshifting/holoimage technology, why hasn’t she used it to get into the ARC masquerading as someone else (after pinching their security card)?

Next week: nothing, if you’re in the UK. It’s the final of Britain’s Got Talent, so we have a two week wait for the final episode.

NNAN, but when Sarah is moving/crawling around the rhinos I was reminded of fields of cows & wondered where the 'rhino patties' were? (Did the FX people just not think of that?)
