It’s baaaack! Woo-hoo! And still with the original theme tune, which I half feared would have been changed, so kudos to TPTB for keeping it.

Why does Connor draw the spinosaurus straight towards his girlfriend? Wouldn’t it be nobler to run elsewhere and keep her safe?

The paper that Abby throws onto the fire burns down very quickly, as there’s no residual sign of it when she douses the fire shortly afterwards.

Great lines:
Jess: “Will you stop being such a pair of kids?”
Matt: “He started it.”

I’m not sure that Nick Cutter would be thrilled to be left off Becker’s list of people he has lost. I know that Becker didn’t know Nick very well by the time he died, but still ...

It’s rather convenient that Abby manages to get herself chased by possibly the slowest raptor in history.

It’s good to see that the anomalies haven’t changed: they still always appear within easy driving distance of the ARC; and they still always appear in an area of London that is conveniently devoid of any Londoners *, despite the fact that the entire area seems to be made up of flats!

* apart from Ross Noble and a friend ;-)

Great line:
James: “Trust Connor to bring a pet back with him.”

Why do Matt and Becker say that they can’t shoot the spinosaurus while Connor’s near it? He’s not that near it. If the blast from the new EMD rifles goes that wide, I would suggest that they need re-designing.

I love the S Club 7 music that Abby starts up! (For anyone who doesn’t know, Hannah Spearritt first became famous as a member of that pop group.) [Actually, as I understand it, that song was only played during the first UK broadcast and was replaced by something else in later/US broadcasts and on the DVD.]

When Abby and Connor walked into the new ARC, I thought, “Now they know how Nick felt at the beginning of Season 2!”

I love James’ surprised but then affectionate look as Abby hugs him, but I’m surprised that he doesn’t quickly push her off, because she and Connor must absolutely stink. Even if they’ve managed to keep their bodies fairly clean, there’s no way their clothes can do anything but reek after all this time.

Next episode: Rex!! Oh, yes, and Duncan.

So why the heck doesn't the ARC have some kind of lockable internal doors/bulkheads?

When the guy grabs the metal plate to fend off the dracorex, my first thought was that he might have initiated the attack since it was reflective & the dracorex may have seen it's reflection thinking it was another dracorex.

Abby & Connor's clothes & hair seemed remarkably well done for a year without combs, razors, sewing kits... or did Abby just happen to bring enough along?

Summary thought. Isn't it actually partial new management?

So when's it going to be revealed that an anomaly opened in the 24th Century & Julian Bashir fell through? ;-)

I wonder what that Spinosaurus looked like afterwards? Having an anomaly open inside one & pull the rest through must have really twisted it inside out.

I thought the same thing about Matt holding up something shiny in front of the draco, though I wondered whether he was doing it deliberately to lure it towards him.

I haven't quite worked out the management issue in relation to the ARC. Julian Philip is pumping money into the project and getting ... what, precisely, out of it? Are they using the creatures which come through as models for ARC-related merchandise? And who gets the final say on management decisions if Philip and Lester disagree?

I half-expected the spinosaurus to implode and send bits of soggy flesh flying as the anomaly closed inside it.
