Anyone here write any?
Back when my local PBS station was regularly running Blakes 7 I did think up a crossover with B7 & Trek.
I didn't write anything down, but it started with Travis 'death' at Star One where as he fell he crossed dimensions and I believe he was found by the Romulans (since Klingons have been done to death).
It would have been set during B7's third season and it was fun figuring out ways to include Gan, who was dead, and Soolin, who hadn't met the team yet.
fanfiction.net is a great place to post stories and read other writer's work. I just checked out the Blake's 7 crossover section, but there are no Blake's 7/Star Trek TOS crossovers. There are, however, 3 TNG crossovers, 7 for Doctor Who, and some others with shows I'm not familiar with.
I'm surprised it hasn't been done, since it seems like a natural cross-universes scenario.
I was also going to read 'Moon Over Bajor', years ago, but it was just too long.

Yeah, it is a long story to get through. However, it's well worth it. Trust me
I didn't write it down because there was no way I could make money off it.
If money was the only thing that Fan Fiction writers wanted well...
They'd be no Fan Fiction at all.
You make that sound like a bad thing. ;-)
Yeah, I got burned out on fanfic years ago. Not because of bad writing, which is everywhere, but because the characterization was so off.
If I'm going to read a fanfic I want the characters to feel like the characters, not somebody completely different.
If you do want to read a fanfic by me... it's just 7 pages.
I have a couple of Trek Fan Fictions at FF.net myself.
Oh, there are boards for the infamous Marissa stories by Stephen Ratliff in the NextGen Sink: The Lighter Side of NextGen.
I'd completely forgotten I had read his stuff (misted, of course).
"Spelling errors shall be ingored."
the infamous Marissa stories by Stephen Ratliff
File that under "What in the dead gods of Krypton was he thinking?" and move on!
As far as I know, Ratliff is still active and posts Marissa stories to the TNG section of ff.net if anyone is interested.
I however, haven't read them that I remember.

I'll pass on these, thank you.
Just took a quick inventory of fanfiction.net Star Trek stories and came away with an interesting set of numbers.
First place is...
'Star Trek Voyager'!
Last place, is, predictably, 'Star Trek - Picard'. No sign of The Lower Decks, thank God.
Here's the ranking;
1. Star Trek - Voyager; 10,300 stories.
2. Star Trek - The Original Series; 7,200.
3. Star Trek - The Next Generation; 4,700.
4. Star Trek - Enterprise; 4,700.
5. Star Trek - Deep Space 9; 2,100
6. Star Trek (other); 2,000.
7. Star Trek - Discovery; 349.
8. Star Trek - Picard; 78.
In the Cross-over section, the numbers change;
1. Star Trek - The Next Generation; 838.
2. Star Trek - The Original Series; 610.
3. Star Trek - Voyager; 496.
4. Star Trek (other); 364.
5. Star Trek - Deep Space 9; 220.
6. Star Trek - Enterprise; 137.
7. Star Trek - Discovery; 0.
8. Star Trek - Picard; 0.
Interesting. I wonder why VOY has a full 3100 stories over the next series? I'd say that show had quite a few missed opportunities, but dang!

Seven/Janeway slash fics? ;-)
Maybe it just has more female writers that can relate to Janeway better than Sisko or archer?
Even the story numbers can't avoid 47 (does anyone still remember that running joke?).
Lower Decks also has a section, it's under cartoons. It only has 9 entries though.
Seven/Janeway slash fics?
Well, Nyssa/Tegan was eventually canonized, so one never knows.

I remember it.
Well, Nyssa/Tegan was eventually canonized
Was it? Just because RTG was once in charge of the show doesn't necessarily mean his little fanfic, written years after he was no longer in charge of the show, is canon.
Farewell, Sarah Jane is not a Fan Fiction, rather is an officially sanction BBC video.
The reasons that it's considered canon are:
1. It was broadcast over the air (okay, on the Internet, which is pretty much the same thing these days).
2. The BBC and the estate of Johnny Byrne (which owns the rights to Nyssa) clearly signed off on it.
That's good enough for me (and no doubt many others).
Scream of the Shalka was officially sanctioned as well. Presumably it was canon briefly, but the new series shoved it under the carpet.
Steve, I've moved your post (or rather I've Copied And Pasted it) here:
Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Doctor Who: Television Spin-Offs: The Sarah Jane Adventures: Season Five: General Discussion
Uh, Tim, we were talking about Farewell, Sarah jane HERE, and KAM still is. It's off topic at the moment, but that happens everywhere.
I haven't posted anything in Doctor Who for 6 months for a reason; I happily and willingly left that section because I'm fed up with it and the present-day series. Feel free to delete my post from wherever you stuck it. It was relevant here, but I don't care what anybody thinks in the Doctor Who thread.

I have no control over what gets deleted in the Doctor Who forum. That's Emily's territory.
Here's an update regarding Fanfiction.net
The number one Trek series on the site is still Voyager, with over 10,300 stories posted, and the next being the Original Series, with over 7,200.
However, neither is anywhere near the top 10 on the site. Voyager is in 35th place, and TOS is 49th.
The top 10 are;
1. Supernatural - 126,000 stories.
2. Glee - 108,000
4. Doctor Who - 76,300
5. Sherlock - 60,000
6. Once Upon a Time - 53,000
7. Buffy: The Vampire Slayer - 50,800
8. NCIS - 41,800
9. Vampire Diaries - 39,500
10. Criminal Minds - 32,300
And between Criminal Minds and Voyager are series like Power Rangers, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Torchwood, and The X Files.
Between Voyager and TOS are shows like Downton Abbey, Arrow, and Game of Thrones, and below TOS is everything else imaginable, from The Big Bang Theory, Supergirl, and Friends to Xena, M*A*S*H, Farscape and How I Met Your Mother.
Steve, you left out whatever was in third place.
Okay;
Star Trek The Next Generation with 4,800 stories for 68th place;
Star Trek - Enterprise with 4,700 for 73rd place;
Star Trek - DS9 with 2,200 for 127th place;
Star Trek -other with 2000 stories for 138th place. 'other' is the category for anything other than real Trek series-- stories based on the writer's own ships and characters.
Way, waaaay down the list is Star Trek - Discovery with 419 stories, and waaaay below that is Star Trek - Picard with just 88 stories.
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea is still ahead of STD with 427 stories, while (insult of insults) 8 Simple Rules has 90 stories and Hot In Cleveland has 89 stories, placing them ahead of Picard.
You still left out whatever is in third place.
Yeah, what's between Glee and Who?
Suicide? ;-)
BURN THE BLASPHEMERS

You expected a bunch of NITPICKERS not to find any mistakes?
quote:D'OH! You Nitcentralers are a tough bunch! I didn't notice my boo-boo.
My comment was aimed at Glee rather than Who.
Had the misfortune to watch a few minutes of that series once. Deeeeeeeeep huuuuuuurting.
We Trek fans invented nitpicking!
I haven't watched ST:Picard, but I've read about it. Maybe there's so few fanfics about it because it's too grimdark. That's another reason I haven't been watching the newest spinoffs.
What do you think of the other fanfic site, An Archive Of Our Own, aka AO3?
I've been using Chatgpt to generate fanfiction.
It works pretty well.
I also like to do mashups of Star Trek episode titles.
For example, Miri the Empath and The Children Shall Lead Mark of Gideon The Way to Eden.
You don't have to use the exact title.
Dax, the Dauphin with The Most Toys, Shall Court-Martial the Sons of Mogh In the Pale Moonlight: The Die is Cast For the Cause.
Chatgpt does well with those, too.
Chatgpt?
You don't know about Chat Gpt? Google it, it's fascinating.
