A new History Channel series documents the history of Star Trek from the very beginning, starting with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz' purchase of the RKO studios to form Desilu. It can be viewed on TV (Fridays at 10-does that sound familiar? ) or (maybe-it's not there yet) on the History streaming app. One nitpick about episode one-it implies that TOS started it's second season Fridays at 10 p.m. As we know, season two aired Fridays at 8:30 p.m.; its third season was on Fridays at 10.
I don't know how far the series will go, but it's still interesting. Even though little in it is new to me, it's well worth a look.

When this turns up on the Canadian History Channel, I'll give it a watch.

Turns out this show is airing in Canada after all, on CTV Sci-Fi (our version of the Syfy Channel). I've seen the first two episodes, which dealt with the Original Series and Animated. It airs Thursday nights at 10:00 and is repeated the following Monday at 9:00 PM.

Looks good, but I'll probably jump ship when they reach the Kurtzman Abominations.

In the commercials for this, there were a couple of stills showing Kirk in a blue shirt. But I don't think the show itself did that.

When they covered the TOS movies, they stopped at The Voyage Home. Hmmmmm....
