Happy Birthday!
Yes! Yes!! Happy Birthday to Mr. Keonig!!!!!!
Much love and kisses.
Love and Kisses to this man????? A joke Charector from begining to end, And a very poor Conversationalist when I met him. ARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH (memorable Line from at least 3 Movies and a Few EPSS)
To me, he is not a joke character, and is a very wonderful and polite man in person. I have found that he has had many memorable lines other than screaming. I believe this page is to rave about the actor, not to belittle him or his fans. I would guess you don't care if you have angered me, or that you care that I have no tolerance to your flaming. But atleast you will know, that I disagree extremely with your post, and feel that your post should be answered with an apology from you!
Very well. I'm extremely sorry.
Thank You SlugBug, I appreciate that.
Slinky Frog, I think you need to lighten up a bit. I wouldn't consider that a flame on my board. I think SLUGBUG was just disagreeing with you. He never said anything really bad, did he? I mean come on, Mr. Keonig is just an actor. He isn't your brother is he? We can have different opinions here, according to the rules. He did not attack your opinion, he merely did the same thing as you just did; he stated his ideas on the man. Now let's all calm down, and have a nice meal that the Russains invented.
Was Walter Koenig's son in that series with Kirk Cameron and Leonardo De Caprio-"Growing Pains"? I think he may have played the Cameron character's best friend.
Yes, Josh Koenig played 'Boner' on Growing Pains. I remember when he told me he got the job when we both worked at Sears in North Hollywood. He now goes by his middle name, Andrew, and also played a refugee from the Gamma Quadrant in an episode of DS9.
I think Mr. Koenig is doing an episode of Howard Stern's "Son of the Beach." I saw an ad for the show on FX, and I couls have sworn I saw him in a Saddam Hussein-type costume.
He is playing some sort of (corrupt?) Russian officer on next Tuesday's (3/20) episode of "Son of the Beach".
Until the, "Ride the big one!"
I believe he's an ex-Soviet officer who wants to bring back the Cold War, with the help of his scantily dressed Russian babes.
My God, the man can ACT! After countless years of knowing him only as Pavel A. Chekov (or Checkout, if you want to be mean), I saw him again in a re-run of Babylon 5 as Alfred Bester, Psicop and all around nice guy. He can play a VERY good villain! Also, I noticed that the other psicop was played by his wife
Well, I saw him last weekend at a con in DC. I hate to say it, but I was not left with a favorable impression of him.
The History Channel was at the con, filming a documentary called "Fandom," or something like that. One of the camermen made the mistake of wandering into the ballroom where Koening was doing Q&A, and Koening chewed the guy out in front of us. "I did NOT give permission to be taped for the show!" I mean, we all felt like saying get a grip, buddy.
Is Walter Koenig an albino? He was on "Roddenberry on Patrol" and his skin looked rather white.
It could've been an aspect of the lighting, lack of much exposure to sun, and/or that he is of an ethnicity or nationality with naturally fair skin, as some Australians, Irish or British are. I believe albinos lack not only skin pigment, but eye pigment as well (I'm not positive if there are exceptions to this), and Koenig certainly has pigment in his eyes.
Hey, check this out - Koenig on Mr. Novak, pre-Star Trek. Ultra-rare clip shows the first Russian character he ever played.

Walter's son, Andrew, a star of Growing Pains, is missing.
Andrew was found dead today (suicide)
My thoughts go out to Walter Koenig, his wife, and their family.
Not missing anymore:
Andrew Koenig's Body Found in Vancouver Park.
A tragic end to this story.
In the 1973 episode of 'The Starlost' called 'The Return of Oro', Walter Koenig's character, Oro, mentions 'The Voyage Home', and 'Insurrection'.
I just found it ironic that he uttered the titles of two future Star Trek movies.
Just watched an episode of "Gidget" and saw Walter acting AND using a near accent double of his Russian. He played a Scandinavian boyfriend who became upset at his girl's behavior after living with Americans.
Well, his parents came from Russia.
I have nothing to add.
I just wanted to put an entry here 4 years to the day of the last one.
Live long and prosper, Walter!
One of the three last surviving cast members.
And, ironically, the three guys sitting in the center of the bridge. Everyone else is along the wall/bulkhead or based in another section of the ship.
Yup.
