Okay, guys, I'll need help with resources to get episode titles and stuff like that.
Also, I don't watch a few shows (like 24), so ya gotta help me.
Thanks!
~CC
Try www.epguides.com . They have epguides for almost every show you can think of.
That's always been Sax's source. I can tell because his sumamries look an awful lot like the ones over there. ;-)
P.S. I thought Sax was keping C&J. At least, that's what he told me.
Nahh, there was a meltdown recently, and I offered to take over C&J.
Hannah, I assume you've tried using search engines? I found a Friends reference site easily when I needed it for those boards, and ditto for Joey. Did Googling it not work?
As soon as some plot summaries start coming in, I'll start posting. L&O and Thrid Watch don't put the episode titles up like ER and Enterprise do.
Yeah, that much I knew...
Thanks, Bri.
According to TWoP, the CSI (Vegas) episode after "Who Shot Sherlock" is called "Snakes"
Hey, what happened to the NYPD Blue board? The last episode aired last night.
I didn't do anything.
Can we get a board for the new L&O ep that was on the other night? It was the one with the Holy Book. Strangely enough, NBC hasn't posted the ep or its name on their website.
And, what about updating Without A Trace? They added Roselyn Sanchez as new FBI agent/former NYPD Elena Delgado this season. (I wish all FBI agants looked as good as Agents Spade and Delgado.)
How about adding Kitchen Sinks in this forum? I have some observations about a couple police procedural shows but don't involve one episode in in specific. I specifically laugh myself silly everytime I watch CSI: Miami (ex: everytime 'Supercop Caine' goes on one of his Shatner-esque rants, I half expect Edward Olmos to pop-up and bellow "so say we all!")
It's there. It's "The Kitchen Precinct".
Hey, Hannah! Thanks for creating new season boards for L&O: CI. Can you enable the Add a Message feature on them? Only the Start a New Thread button is active.
Hannah, do we have to create individual boards for each episode? Because I don't know the title of the one I want to comment on, and the sixth season boards still lack the Add a Message feature.
Hannah? Can you make a board for the seventh season of SVU? I wanted to comment on last night's finale.
Can we have a numb3rs board?
How about a kitchen sink for '24'?????
I was just on the imdb BB for '24' in a thread about a '24' drinking game and made a post that I'm quite proud of.
I'm posting it here complete with some notations of what in the show made me think of that one. If you haven't seen them all and don't want to risk very obvious spoilers from later seasons you can still read them. I'm putting all of the spoilers in white text so it won't show up normally. If you want to read them than highlight my whole message and you can read the notations.
1 DRINK
51. Every time someone yells "take the shot!!!!" (BTW I'm a bartender and any time someone says that, in reference to a shot of booze, I joke "what are you Jack Bauer" and most people get the joke and think it's hilarious). too many to count
52. Every time a US government agent (from a spy to a SWAT-team-style suited up guy) who we've never seen before goes into a dangerous situation.pick one
53. Every time that same guy gets killed in the same episode.pick one
2 DRINKS
54. Someone is put in a situation between their morals or continuing their mission. Kim Bauer, Terri Bauer, a phantom boss man that someone thinks is a bigger danger to the world; to name but a few
55. An actor that you are familiar with appears out of nowhere and you scream (HE'S GONE BEFORE THE SEASON IS UP!!!) Lou Diamond Phillips, Dennis Hopper
56. You wish/hope that Mandy would return so she could undress/be bi-sexual/act like a fanboy's dream of a hot gunslinging girl. all of Mia Kirshner's eps
57. Jack does something that seems over-the-top even for him. Jack has Saeed's family 'executed' over a video link
57 & 1/2. They have a big reveal later (either the next episode or later in that same episode) where it turns out they just faked whatever we thought we saw just happen (if it wasn't fake than GOTO NO.58). the same ep with Saeed
3 DRINKS
58. They didn't fake it; Jack (or whoever) really did whatever it was that seemed unconscionable even for the good guys. Ryan Chapelle
59. Someone mentions a mole in an organization that's so paranoid/secretive/exclusive. that it should be impossible to get someone like that into said organization. too many to count
60. Some plot development happens that makes you think "hey that sounds like it was inspired by something that was recently in the news." CTU about to torture that guy who they arrested on a boat with a dead terrorist who he confessed to killing; only to find "AMNISTY GLOBAL" getting through to CTU in the middle of the night and stopping them from doing it
4 DRINKS
61. You second-guess something that seemed obvious because you figured "that's what the writers/producers/directors want us it think." "The death of Jack Bauer"
62. You figure someone's going to die because you know the actor who plays them is certainly not going to stick around a TV show for very long. Alan York, Dennis Hopper, The Guy from 'Saw'
FINISH THE BOTTLE & CALL YOURSELF THE ALL TIME 24 CHAMP
63: You actually think the the situations in the show seem perfectly plausible and that the US would have nothing to fear if Jack Bauer were really fighting the war on terror. You know who you are.
BTW I EXPECT FULL PROPS FROM LUIGI NOVI:
I say that because I just spent over a dozen "preview/post" clicks editing the formatting so that my various bolds, size changes and italics would work.
Can we get 24 Season 7 started?
Even though it probably won't premiere for another year?
Never mind. I thought part of it was in the can, and then they had the strike and Kiefer's DUI jail time.
Guess that strike worked out for the studio (being concurrent with KS's jail time).
The production staff, on the other hand, got burned by the strike.
My guess is they'll just finish what they started next season- so they'll only film the remaining 16 episodes or so.
My inside source (she got rehired this week) tells me it'll be next year.
Again, from my source, to hold us 24 fans over, there will be a 90 minute TV movie sometime this year. Day 7 will be next year.
So the moderator might want to put up a "TV Movie" sub-board."
I know it's a daunting task, but - Might you add seasons seventeen through twenty of Law & Order, and seasons eight through eleven of L&O - SVU? (L&O - Criminal Intent now operates on an odd schedule, so I don't know what season they're in now. Although I think it's the eighth. Also, since CI episodes are now run first on USA, their season is shorter then the normal 22-24 episodes.)
Day 8 of 24 starts this week. Could we get the board started?
Moderator? Can we get boards for the rest of L&O: SVU's run? I wanted to comment on the episode "Wildlife".
Luigi, I think the moderator is MIA.
We still haven't got the 24 boards either.
MIA? Um....is that another spinoff of L&O?
Coming this fall, from the producers of Law & Order: SVU.........Law & Order: MIA!
Does it take place in Vietnam? Will Chuck Norris be appearing?
Yeah, there have been a few times I had a comment to make and nowhere to make it.
Most recently it was to notice that many L&O cast members, including the two fixtures, S Epatha Merkerson and Sam Waterston, have been appearing more and more in commercial ads, and to speculate on why.
Well, in the case of Waterston, it's because he knows we need Robot Insurance.
Thanks for adding up to seasons 20 for L&O, and 11 for SVU. However, instead of a comments box, perhaps you could replace that with a "Start New Thread" or "Create New Conversation" button, so the episodes can be added by title, and caught up with (which may take a while). Thanks.
What Adam says goes for the 24 Day 8, too.
Thanks for putting up the board.
Moderator? Can you activate the board for L&O: SVU Season 11? It's currently closed to posting. Thanks.
Will we be getting a board under 24 for "24 - Live Another Day"?
Where would be the best place for a 'Rosemary & Thyme' board?
Both Cold Case and Without A Trace can be streamed on HBO Max. For how long, I don't know.
Is this only for US crime and Justice shows, or should there be a seperate version for UK Crime shows, such as 'Rosemary & Thyme' and 'Vera'?
Also, WHere should I put the Jasper Carrot/Robert Powell series 'The Derectives' - here, UK Crime and Justice shows, or UK Comedy?
Well, there's a Law & Order UK board here, so I'd say all, but I'm not the moderator.
As this forum currently has no Moderator, I'm acting in my official capacity as Roving Mod.
RWF, if you wish to post about these shows, go for it. Nothing here says it's exclusive to U.S. shows.
Thanks Tim, but unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a start new thread button!
Because of that, several threads on show have been started in the Kitchen Precinct.
You can do the same with the shows you want to talk about.
I added a 'start new thread' button to the first page.
Whoops, forgot I could do that now.
Thanks, Butch.
