This show is pretty good, aside from the fact that although it's an interesting and popular premise, the BAU is ran on an almost entirely fictional basis. In a many ways, it reminds me of what is wrong with CSI realistically, but then again nitpicking isn't comparing reality to fiction.
My biggest problem is with the most recent episode. If Elle is indeed dead she deserved it for her, and the team's, inability to connect how easily this new antagonist can get to these people, underestimating his reaction for having that press confrence, and going for her gun at a very bad time.
Mandy Patinkin left, and was replaced by (AFAIK) Joe Mantegna. (They actually flirted with Harvey Keitel for a bit.)
The series ended in 2020, but returned as a streaming series in 2022 on Paramount Plus, titled Criminal Minds Evolution. Without Matthew Gray Gubler. (And without Thomas Gibson. Who was fired from the original show in 2017 for his on-set behavior.)
