Look At The Princess, Part 3: "The Maltese Crichton"

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Farscape: Season Two: Look At The Princess, Part 3: "The Maltese Crichton"
AND NOW THE CONCLUSION:
Chrichton is now a stone statue. He's in quite a pose I might add. The evil Scarran comes by when no one's around and slices off Chrichton's head. Jena (the PK double agent) is able to obtain the head. By sticking the head back on the statue and reanimating Chrichton, Chrichton is A-OK. Jena and Chrichton both disappear. Of course this leaves everyone wondering where Chrichton is. D'Argo is forced to ally himself with Scorpius so that they can find Chiana because they think that she knows where Chrichton is.
Meanwhile off in the desert somewhere, Aeryn and Dregon are off rock climbing. Dregon is being a sniveling and whining jerk. When he gets nervous about heights he grabs Aeryn's leg and they both plummet into the river. Aeryn, severely injured, is forced to drag Dregon across the desert to find help.
Meanwhile, the Scarran has Chiana and is using her as bait to lure D'Argo and Scorpius into his clutches. Chiana is dangling over a vat of acid while D'Argo looks on, horrified.

I don't want to give any more away, but let's just say that if you're a sucker for love and stuff, you'll like the ending.

After taking three episodes to build to a finale, this one rather petered out, I thought. The solution was all too easy and I don't know why nobody thought of it before. Also, if the Royal Family were so averse to lying before, why should an outsider talk them round so easily?

Pilot's 'dying' speech to Zhaan was lovely and had me well filled up with tears.

I can't remember if it was this episode or the previous one where Scorpius was talking to the little alien thing while he had the cooling rod in his head changed. Last time we saw the cooling rod holder spin out of his head, Scorpius was grimacing in pain or discomfort but this time he barely reacted.

Great line: "How Batman was that?!"

It was the previous one when we saw Scorpy's cooling rod changed. I really don't want to know how he had that installed in the first place...

I don't know if anyone thought of this, but while rewatching my DVD version of this, and the Empress, Tiano, and everybody were standing around the statures wondering where Cricton's head was, why not ask Katralla? I mean, I kept thinking that, while her brother and the Scarran were there, cutting off Cricton's head, was she observing this? Can't they ask Katralla atleast who did it, and she could tell them?

--- I think they had no choice. Even though Clavor was dead, I suppose Katralla still couldn't rule, if her husband was absent. I think it would be a political disarray. The outsider's suggestion was probably the best out of an iffy situation.
