Look At The Princess, Part 2: "I Do, I Think"

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Farscape: Season Two: Look At The Princess, Part 2: "I Do, I Think"

Chrichton is getting his butt kicked by some of Prince Clavor's henchmen when he is rescued by the Prince's fiancee. But it turns out that she's a PK operative and she thinks that Chrichton is as well. Chrichton plays along.
Meanwhile, back on Moya, Pilot and Zhann meet Moya's creator. He plans to decommission (re: KILL) Moya because she violated the code of the builders by having an offspring with weaponry.
Meanwhile, back on the planet, with the help of RoNa and the undercover PK, Chrichton is able to meet Rygel who has provided transport to someplace safe. Unfortuantely, RoNa and one of Scorpius's thugs, are planning to take him to unsafe places. By convincing them that they cannot destroy Chrichton's valuable brain, Chrichton is able to take over the ship. When the ship is nearly destroyed by the planetary sattelites, Chrichton abandons ship... THE HARD WAY! He jumps out into space. (And I mean no suit, no breathing device, no nothing.) I don't know if that is scientifically possible, but let's just say it is. Chrichton makes it to another ship. Back on the surface, it's wedding time. If you thought Chrichton was a blockhead before, wait until you see this!!

Yes, it is possible for a human to survive a limited amount of time in a complete vacuum. I have not seen this ep, so I don't know if they did it right or not. Prolonged exposure (re:more than a minute or two) would be damaging to the skin, the eyes, and the respiratory system; because of the temperature or lack of it, and the lack of oxygen and air pressure.

Clarke described a ship-to-ship transfer by unsuited humans in "Earthlight".

And Red Dwarf portrayed it very poorly in "Confidence and Paranoia", i.e. Confidence's head blew up with a loud bang.

Seeing Jonathan Hardy, the actor who voices Rygel, was a treat. My immediate thought was that even behind all that Londo Mollari make-up, he looks just like he ought to! You know how when you hear a voice for a long time you start to have a mental image of that person's face? Well, Jonathan Hardy looked just like that in my imagination - all smiling and jovial and altogether a guy who'd do a great job playing Santa Claus!

My favourite bit of this episode had to be the final interchange between John and Dargo: "I've got good news and bad news ..."
