Look At The Princess, Part 1: "A Kiss Is But A Kiss"

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Farscape: Season Two: Look At The Princess, Part 1: "A Kiss Is But A Kiss"

PART 1 OF 3: Crichton, Aeryn, D'Argo, Chiana, and Rygel go down to the Royal Planet which is made up of Sebaceans (Aeryn's people) who broke away from the Peacekeepers. On this planet, Princess Katralla needs a mate if she wants to become the next empress. To test for a mate, Katralla and a suiter kiss. If the kiss is sweet, then their DNA is compatible and they can get married. Unfortunately for her, her brother Prince Clavor (the next in line if Katralla can't find a mate) has altered Katralla's DNA so that it is not compatible with anyone else's on the planet. Coincidentally, her new altered DNA is compatible with Crichton's. I'm sure you can figure out that Crichton kisses her. This means that Crichton must marry Katralla whether he wants to or not.
Unfortunately for Crichton, Scorpius shows up. D'Argo cuts a deal with Scorpius. If Crichton marries the princess, Scorpius will spare the others' lives.
Unfortunately for Crichton, he soon finds out that being married to Katralla means that he has to spend 80 cycles as a statue. Not an appealing prospect to be sure.

Great Episode! This is truly a superior television show.

I laughed out load when both Rygel and Aeryn spit after kissing.

Nominatation for favorite quotes: "Why don't you stay and tell us about it, John?"

I admit I'm somewhat behind in watching the show; I'm only seeing the second season for the first time now.

And it's fantastic!

Anyhow, this episode was superb. :)
