Nerve

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Farscape: Season One: Nerve
“It’s deja vue all over again.”

Aeryn reveals that the commando who stabbed her in A Bug’s Life pierced a nerve which will result in her death in two to three days. The only thing that can save her is a tissue graft from a genetically compatible donor. John proposes going to the nearby Gammak base, again posing as a Peacekeeper, and trying to find what they need. Chiana volunteers to go with him and gives him an ident chip which she stole from the PK captain.
All goes well at first but it looks like they’re about to be rumbled when John is asked to put his hands into a scanner to verify his genetic compatibility with the ident chip. He’s surprised when the scanner announces a match but then meets up with Gilina (from PK Tech Girl) who has been assigned to the base and overrode the genetic security scanner. She agrees to help find a tissue match for Aeryn and returns with a synthetically created dose of what’s needed.
As John makes his way back to the prowler, a bizarrely dressed man called Scorpius detects that he is an imposter, captures him and puts him into the Aurora Chair, a device that probes John’s mind and pulls out his memories. When Scorpius sees memories of John’s encounters with Crais, he suspects that Crais has gone renegade and sends out a message to lure Crais to the Gammak base.
As John experiences memories of his conversation with the alien from A Human Reaction, the Aurora Chair detects a neural block and drags out a suppressed memory which even John didn’t know he had – the aliens gave him knowledge of wormhole technology which, coincidentally, is the whole purpose of Scorpius’ Gammak base.
Gilina and Chiana tap into the security system to find John who, during a break from the Chair, is able to tell Chiana where he’s hidden the tissue sample. She retrieves it and, with Gilina providing a diversion, takes the prowler back to Moya where Zhaan cures Aeryn.

How did Gilina get her assignment to the Gammak base while Crais was avoiding contact to high command?

Why is a genetic scan required to gain access to quarters? I would understand this for paranoid security sections like R&D but not quarters.
Has anyone ever wondered about the purpose of that shot showing Chiana gripping Critchton's butt?
Regarding Gilina's assignment, I believe Crais started avoiding contact after That Old Black Magic, so the transfer could have occured between those two episodes.
