Liars, Guns, and Money, Part 1: A Not So Simple Plan

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Farscape: Season Two: Liars, Guns, and Money, Part 1: A Not So Simple Plan
Chrichton's former cell mate Stark returns to Moya with a cunnning plan to get D'Argo's son out of the slave trade. They're going to rob an evil galactic bank of supervillains. D'Argo is understandably eager to get the plan going. He goes down and is promptly captured by the leader of the depository, Natira (who looks like a cross between a Hirogen, a Delvian, and the Borg Queen.) Stark claims that this is all part of the plan. Stark's elaborate plan has Zhann masquerade as a space pirate (complete with an eyepatch, too) to gain access to the depository. Unfortunately for John, who is also on the surface, our favorite villain in black leather, Scorpius, shows up. This does not bode well with John especially when he finds out that Stark knew that Scorpius keeps stuff here. The heist is set in motion. John's inner Scorpius voice is getting louder and more persistent which distracts him from his goal. When John learns of Scorpius's weakness (let's just say that those two glowing circles on the side of Scorpius's head aren't just for decoration) and then Scorpius learns of John's presence, things get turned up a notch.

I know this is a long synopsis. Thought I'd be thorough since this looks like this is going to be one REALLY complicated story arc. I promise, next week's will be smaller.

A FEW COMMENTS FROM ME:
1. Gotta love that hole in Scorpie's head.
2. I love it how Scopius and John are both in extreme pain but they're still both too stubborn to let the other get the advantage.
3. I don't think I've ever heard the "Star Spangled Banner" at such an unusual time.
4. Natira wins my vote as the most disgusting dominatrix this side of the uncharted territories.

Really liked this episode. Good setup to a story arc. Cant't wait for next week.

This and the next episode have already been on the UK. The BBC website says they are part of season 2.

Anyone catch the Warren Zevon reference in the title?

By Plantman on Wednesday, December 13, 2000 - 2:09 pm:

All I was able to find were rumors. I can't even put up the third episode because the I can't find a reliable title.

I'm assuming that the official farscape website is www.scifi.com/farscape. They mention it in every episode. They say that "A Clockwork Nebari" was the last Season 2 episode. I go by what they say.

You guys got new episodes already? Why is it that you Brits always get the good stuff? :^)

Have a jolly good day.

Bad Nitpickers! No cookie for you, until you guess the reference!

Oops! I guess I screwed up. I thought these eps were the beginning of season three. I have put them up under season two. (Guess you were right NANP) I didn't even know until I was watching SciFi channel and saw a preview for "the amazing four part season finale of Farscape" and I was like "oh %$#@!" But all has been fixed. The USA won't see these eps until January 5, but apparently the UK already has them. I guess living in Britain has it's perks.

Later everyone!

Time's up! On Warren Zevon's "Excitable Boy" album, the last track is titled "Laywers, Guns And Money".

Scott..that was just too obvious..i didn't think you were really expecting an answer!

Get me out of this!

By ScottN on Monday, January 08, 2001 - 10:58 am:

Self-Nit. it's "Lawyers, Guns And Money".

Oh, and Len, since I'm an "Excitable Boy" (or so they all said:)), I think I'll ask you for more Trekouplets, or else I'll start posting more bad rhymes on that board!

"Chrichton's former cell mate Stark returns to Moya with a cunnning plan to get D'Argo's son out of the slave trade."

You know, I can easily imagine a really dirty Stark sidling up to Chrichton and saying, "My Lord, I have a cunning plan."

P.S. Its only two "n"s :)
