By Merat on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 5:38 am:

The opening narration is meaning less and less. The "insane military commander" isn't chasing John anymore. Anyone know if they are changing it for season 3?

By Callie Sullivan on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 1:36 pm:

Would Scorpio count as Crais' replacement? He seems pretty insane to me, though perhaps the 'military' and 'commander' are a bit more open to interpretation!

By Joepepe on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 2:23 pm:

>>My Name is John Crichton an astronaut.
.....Still fits. Check
>>A radiation wave hit and I got shot through a wormhole.
.....Still good. Check
>> Now I'm in some distant part of the universe.
.....Well obviously. Check
>> On a ship! A living ship! Filled with strange alien lifeforms.
.....Still true.
>> Help me! Is there anyone out there who can hear me?
..... Yeah! Is there?
>> I'm being hunted by an insane military commander.
..... Scorpius is insane and he commanded the Gammak base.
>> I'm just looking for a way home.
..... Yep. Check

Opening sounds good to me.

By Merat on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 7:09 pm:

Scorpius is not a military commander. He is a civilian who was in charge of a research station. Also, there is much less emphasis on getting home than there used to be.

By Joepepe on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 11:54 am:

I thought he was a Peacekeeper? I could SWEAR I remember him being a PK.

Maybe my memory ain't what it used to be.

By qwerty on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 7:34 pm:

Joepepe--

actually...

****POTENTIAL SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE SEASON 2 FINALE******

Now that Scorpius has removed the chip, he shouldn't be hunting Crichton anymore.

By Len on Monday, March 05, 2001 - 9:59 am:

Scorpius comands military ships, deosn't he? In fact, I think he commands Paeackeeper ships (even if he's not a Peacekeeper). so the openings still ok.

As to why he may still be hunting John NEXT season..it remains to be seen. Perhaps they'll change the opening, or perhaps he'll have a reaosn. Or perhaps a NEW Peacekeeper will hunt them!

By Lauren Mag on Saturday, March 10, 2001 - 10:00 pm:

I don't think this fits anywhere else, and since that's what this topic is called I guess I'll put it here.

I'm going to be out of state in a hotel from next friday! I don't know if they get SciFi or if I'll even be in the room at that time, and I am scared to death my VCR is gonna mess up! It shouldnt mess up, but that doesn't mean it won't!

By A B5 fan looking for good sci-fi on Tuesday, March 13, 2001 - 10:36 pm:

Hey, I'm getting interested in this show just watching you guys talk about it. Anyone know what channel I should check if I want to catch the premeire of season 3 and start watching? I'm in BC Canada, near Vancouver.

By cstadulis on Wednesday, March 14, 2001 - 10:18 am:

****** SPOILER ALERT *****
According to yet another wire story on Farscape (I work for a newspaper), the introduction HAS been changed. The writer said it "indicates the series is starting to take a new direction."
Also, this guy absolutely loves Farscape. He wrote that it's the best sci-fi series on television, far surpassing Star Trek and X-files.

By The Undesirable Element on Wednesday, March 14, 2001 - 1:16 pm:

The season premiere is Friday, March 16. It's on the Sci-Fi Channel on Fridays at 9:00 PM. I don't know if you have the same thing in Vancouver but I always thought cable channels were the same everywhere in this part of the world.

But I've been known to be wrong (on several occasions)

By Callie Sullivan on Friday, March 16, 2001 - 3:37 am:

I'm mad as hell that, after the British got a series BEFORE the Americans for once, we're now going to lapse behind again. There's no sign of the new series being shown next week on the BBC.

Actually, knowing the Beeb, they'll bring it back a couple of weeks before Wimbledon fortnight and then take it off again until the autumn ...

Grrrr!

By cstadulis on Friday, March 16, 2001 - 8:08 pm:

Just saw "Season of Death" and I like the new intro. And it does allude to some potential big conflicts coming up in the series. (Of course, I'm sure some people would be very happy to have the Peacekeepers come to Earth and enforce some "peace" around here!)

By Sarah Perkins on Saturday, March 17, 2001 - 7:05 pm:

So is it possible to rent or buy the 1st two seasons of Farscape on VHS? I heard someone talking about DVDs....

By SpottedKitty on Sunday, March 18, 2001 - 3:00 pm:

Depends where you live. In the UK you can get the whole of Season1 and the start of season2 on both VHS and DVD. Best price I've found for them is www.dvdstreet.co.uk and www.videostreet.co.uk

If you live in the US, I've no idea...sorry. :/

By Lauren Mag on Monday, March 19, 2001 - 6:42 pm:

My VCR worked, but what was the thing on before the actual episode? I got the last three minutes or so of it. Anybody else see it?

By cstadulis on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 - 5:16 am:

It was called "Farscape: Undressed." Check out the last posting in the sink.

By Merat on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 - 12:00 pm:

Oh man, I can't wait for the rest of Farscape to come out on DVD in the U.S.! As far as I know, only the first one was released here so far...

By Callie Sullivan on Thursday, April 12, 2001 - 2:27 am:

British Farscapians had better stop holding their breath - I read on BBC's teletext that there is "no news" on when season 3 will be shown.

Whyyyyyyyyyy?????!!! It was such a joy to be ahead of them pesky Americans for once, and to make them know how we normally felt when they were posting on stuff we hadn't seen, and now the Beeb have spoiled our fun!!

By SpottedKitty on Thursday, April 12, 2001 - 5:45 am:

:) You know what the Beeb is like. It was obviously popular but only with Sci-Fi fans.
Buffy is OK because they can get the slack jaws interested in staring at Ms Gellars chest. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slagging Buffy off. I like it...but thats probably the only reason why its still being shown.

By cstadulis on Thursday, April 12, 2001 - 12:16 pm:

Obviously, the Farscape Fans of America's (or FFA) campaign with the BBC worked to give us the upper hand once more. (chuckles evily)

Now you must suffer in Limbo!!!

(Just Kidding! Really!)

By cstadulis on Thursday, April 12, 2001 - 12:18 pm:

OK, on a slightly more saner note (I've had a killer schedule of meetings and stories to write this week, that's the only excuse I can give), I do wish you guys on the other side of the pond could see the new season because then we'd have something to talk about. I feel bad for poor TUE that's it's mostly me and him discussing Farscape right now.

By SpottedKitty on Monday, April 23, 2001 - 6:32 am:

*gah*...The wait for new episodes wouldn't be half so bad if the DVDs and Vidoes came out at reasonable time. The next boxset for season 2 (From Picture if you will onwards) is out on the 7th of May here. :P It would cost but at least then we could see them instead of having to rely on that Sci-Fi hating company the Beeb.

I'd me more likely to believe in the FFA if it covered all Sci-Fi :) It does seem like there is an organisation like that out there sometimes.
In the latest SFX (Its not on the website,sorry...get a subscription ;)) mag over here theres a feature about the future of British made Sci-Fi where they interviewed people from the five main terrestrial channels we have. To cut a long story short, the general consensus was "We don't have the money and it doesn't bring in the ratings, therefore we don't care"

By Douglas Nicol on Tuesday, May 15, 2001 - 2:39 pm:

Well I just got the new boxset in the UK and I am very impressed with season 2 so far. Bear in mind I haven't seen any of these episodes before, but the episode with the body switch is hilarious.

By SpottedKitty on Tuesday, May 15, 2001 - 3:20 pm:

Yeahs. I really enjoyed S2 when it was on the Beeb and its just as good watching them again on the DVDs. Now if we can just infiltrate the FFA and destroy it from the inside we might get to see S3. ;)

Its a shame that alot of series never get to a second one because from most of the Sci-Fi stuff I've watched its the second series where they find their feet. I'd of killed to see a second series of things like American Gothic and Dark Skies.

By cstadulis on Wednesday, May 16, 2001 - 5:22 am:

You will never be able to destroy the FFA!!! BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

By Anchor on Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - 7:39 pm:

This just in from the official site:

Watch Farscape four days a week, Monday - Thursday, from the beginning -- starting Monday, August 27, at 8PM ET/PT

And in other news, reports from a Commander Crichton state that he's been aboard a living ship with alien creatures... The proof he allegedly brought back of these adventures is a very human looking female --though he insists she's from a different planet. Perhaps he met her on mars during his stay there.

Enjoy!

By cstadulis on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 12:06 pm:

Some more news:
According to an Associated Press wire report, after next week's episode, "Farscape" will be in reruns until... JANUARY! AHG!

Of course, this confuses me just a tad as, according to our Season Three episode list, there's still a few more episodes left. Are TPTB planning to show all of 'em or not?

At least the reruns will start at the beginning and run through this season (again, according to the AP). But still, January?

By The Undesirable Element on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 3:31 pm:

REMEMBER WHEN?

Remember back in season two. They stopped with "A Clockwork Nebari" for the longest time and some careless moderator happened to put the Liars Guns and Money trilogy as the season 3 premiere (but let's not delve into THAT! :^)). The seasons on the SciFi channel are all screwed up. But as I recall, the LGM trilogy began in early January. They ran the four final season two episodes and then had six weeks of so called "Essential Farscape" (but that's a different rant) and started season 3 in mid-March. I assume a similar arrangement will occur this year.

See ya later
TUE
(the clueless and longwinded moderator)

By cstadulis on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 6:19 am:

Whoops! I'd forgotten about that... probably because I'd just started a new job about this time last year and forgot about "Farscape" for a while.
Still, I don't like this arrangement on Sci-fi... having a big break in the middle/end of the season is worse than having summer reruns for three months...

By cstadulis on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 8:24 am:

Hey, I just heard an un-confirmed rumor that "Farscape" Season 3 will run in the UK in September. Will the dedicated fans stranded in the UK actually get to see Season 3? Has the FFA finally been un-done?

By Callie Sullivan on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 2:48 am:

ATTENTION BRITS!! Season 3 starts NEXT MONDAY!! (27th August). 6.45 BBC2. Woohoo!!

Mind you, starting it on a Bank Holiday Monday (in England and Wales anyway) isn't the brightest of ideas and no doubt there'll be little, if any, advance advertising so I imagine a lot of people will miss the (probably all-essential) start to the season.

By cstadulis on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 4:59 pm:

Darn! I knew the Farscape Fans of America could only delay Season 3 in the UK for so long. Oh, well, I guess we'll just have to try again next season. :)

On a serious note, if you can't watch the first episode of Season 3, TAPE IT! Tape it even if you are watching it. It's worth it.

By SpottedKitty on Monday, August 27, 2001 - 5:59 am:

>Mind you, starting it on a Bank Holiday Monday (in England and Wales anyway) isn't the brightest of ideas and no doubt there'll be little, if any, advance advertising so I imagine a lot of people will miss the (probably all-essential) start to the season.

Well, I've been away on Holiday and away from a PC for the last week or so (thinks to some /really/ computer illiterate hotel staff :P) but your right, there's been little or no warning and if I hadn't read it in your post Callie I'd of probably missed it. So no real surprise there then, sadly.

I was gonna say something funny about the FFA as well but its my first day back at work and I've already got a headache.

By SpottedKitty on Monday, August 27, 2001 - 3:07 pm:

Well....I would comment on the new Farcape ep but atm I'm feeling incredibly old after watching half of the 100 Greatest Kids TV Ever show. Its scary remembering what I used to watch as a kid. No wonder I turned out the way I did. =^_^=

By SpottedKitty on Monday, August 27, 2001 - 3:08 pm:

And that should of been Farscape, my apologies to the FAA.

By Callie on Monday, August 27, 2001 - 5:19 pm:

The Simpsons the best Kids TV Show ever????? The Simpsons?!!!!! Ech - it's not a kids show at all!!

Excuse the tantrum on a Farscape board but I've just finished watching the same show that Spotted Kitty watched and am still mad about it!!

By SpottedKitty on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 - 1:48 am:

I agree with you Callie. The Muppets really won in my opinion. Choosing The Simpsons was a cop-out. Its not a kids show at all. OK, I mean alot of what went on in kids shows would go over the top of kids head but at least they were /aimed/ at kids. The Simpsons wasn't or at least hasn't been for a while now.

Anyway, the new Farscape ep...

By cstadulis on Monday, September 24, 2001 - 3:14 pm:

To all those who live across the Big Pond (aka non-U.S. people):
I just got a new job (yeah!) and will be moving to Europe in October (whoopee!!). Obviously, I'm very excited.

I noticed at the top of the Farscape board-listing, that Farscape is shown in both Germany and France. Does anyone know if the episodes are dubbed or subtitled? If they're dubbed, I'm in trouble 'cause I don't understand French or Germany (unless it's real slow and simple).

Also, is there anyway to get English-speaking channels in Europe? (I'm moving to Luxembourg.) Should I try to get a dish or what?
Any help would be appreciated, as I've never lived outside the U.S. before (can we say this move will be an adventure?).

I know this is not technically a Farscape question, but I'm concerned about keeping up to date with the series.

By cstadulis on Monday, September 24, 2001 - 3:16 pm:

I just realized I'll have to rescind my membership in the FFA. :(

I guess I'll just have to form the Farscape Fans of Europe (the FFE)!

By Electron on Monday, September 24, 2001 - 3:28 pm:

You should buy a digital capable Astra satellite dish, they are rather cheap over here. Then you can enjoy the German dub which is rather awful from what I've heard. Of course you could additionally get a decoder for British pay TV. That would probably solve the language problem.

By Electron on Monday, September 24, 2001 - 3:32 pm:

Forgot something: Here you can download the current channel listing for the Astra satellites.

By Electron on Monday, September 24, 2001 - 3:37 pm:

And even another link.

By Spottedkitty on Tuesday, September 25, 2001 - 1:56 am:

I don't know from personal experience C but I do have a friend whos currently living in Germany that used to live in the States. I'll ask him next time I catch a hold of him online somewhere...

By Spottedkitty on Tuesday, September 25, 2001 - 2:06 am:

Oh...and congrats as well C. :) Hope you enjoy the new job.

Could do with a change myself actually. :P

By cstadulis on Tuesday, September 25, 2001 - 3:27 pm:

Thanks for the congrats and the info. I'll still be around the boards, 'cause my school has Internet-capable computers, so I'll let you know how things go. Plus, you guys may be my main source of Farscape info, if I can't figure out the t.v.-stuff.

By SpottedKitty on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 - 2:19 am:

I managed to grab him online yesterday. He's not sure as he doesn't have anything other than normal terrestrial TV himself, sorry.

*mwahahahahahahaha!* The worm has turned. Ok guys, how much do you think we should charge her for a subscription service seeing as how she was the main brains behind the FFA movement? ;)

Naws, we...well I...wouldn't do that to ye. Oh wait, yes I would.

By cstadulis on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 - 5:33 am:

But just think, if I could do that much with the FFA, imagine what I could do with the FFE! With the combined powers of the FFA and FFE behind me, I could rule the Farscape Faniverse (bwahahahahahaha)!!!

(Ok, maybe I've had a little too much coffee this morning.)

By ScottN on Tuesday, October 02, 2001 - 11:02 pm:

Farscape has been picked up for two more seasons.

By SpottedKitty on Saturday, October 13, 2001 - 5:33 am:

Farscape may have been picked up for two more seasons but the BBC in the UK is still mucking it about as usual. Its been postponed again (probably for a few weeks or so) so they can show Snooker of all things.

I wish some TV exec would come clean and give the real reason why they're all appear to be against Sci-Fi. If its a question of just ratings then why is Buffy also being moved? Surely the wealth of "Jerry Springer" lookie likes, gardening programs and cookery programs get lower ratings than stuff like Farscape and especially Buffy...

By cstadulis on Monday, October 15, 2001 - 11:45 am:

And what, praytell, is Snooker?

By ScottN on Monday, October 15, 2001 - 12:31 pm:

Billiards.

By SpottedKitty on Monday, October 15, 2001 - 1:09 pm:

Snooker is a funny little game where they try and pot these coloured balls into pockets at the edges of the table. ;)

Coined the now famous phrase (at least over here) "For those of you watching at home in Black and White, the Pink ball is the one next to the Blue"

By cstadulis on Monday, October 15, 2001 - 3:40 pm:

Hey, I didn't even know "Skittles" was something other than a candy until a few months ago!

So, why in the heck would they postpone Farscape for snooker? Is this some sort of weird U.K.-thing? (One of my friends, during a visit to London, watched an entire show about cheese because that was the most interesting thing on T.V.) Is this normal for people in the U.K.?

By SpottedKitty on Tuesday, October 16, 2001 - 1:42 am:

>So, why in the heck would they postpone Farscape for snooker?

Well. The excuses they generally use is that "we wouldn't want you to miss a show so we postponed it." This is due to the small chance that the sport would over run and take up more time than it was scheduled for (I have another gripe about that, what /other/ programs are allowed to go over schedule?) and as such those that had set their VCRs would miss it. While I can understand that sentiment, I certainly wouldn't want to miss an ep, they have never given a suitable answer as to why they can't find a slot that will run uninterrupted for the length of the season.
The truth is that according to the Terrestrial channels (as opposed to Satellite and Cable) see Sci-Fi as a low ratings earner and not worth the effort. The shows are only being shown so they can say they held up their "we cater for everyone" banner. I'll see if I can't get a copy of a feature that ran in the SFX mag I buy each month, it was an interview with the programme schedulers from the five main channels and it was quite an eye opener.

>Is this normal for people in the U.K.?

Its normal for those of us that don't have Satellite and/or Cable we have to take what we're given. :) In the U.K. on the terrestrial channels 99% of Sci-Fi is shown in the Dinner time slot of 18:00-19:30ish either that or on the Graveyard shift between midnight and 03:00. As you can imagine, a lot of shows aren't really suitable for the earlier slot and are therefore not seen at all or are cut to shreds because the content is not suitable. Until a few months back Channel4 was the one saviour of all this then they seemed to catch the "stup1d" bug and scheduled Angel in the 18:00 slot….you can imagine the cuts they made. Then came Futurama. Again scheduled in the 18:00 slot and again cut to shreds. I'm pretty sure Callie can back me up on all this. :) Suffice to say that Sci-Fi in the UK is treated as a minority thing that can be used as a slot filler until you find something more suitable like maybe another Cookery program or maybe even another Jerry Springer clone.

Rant over for now. :)

By cstadulis on Tuesday, October 16, 2001 - 6:07 am:

Whoa... I had no idea... Of course, I am a lifelong U.S. resident and currently have 64 cable channels to choose from. But, I think this means I'm going to have severe t.v. withdrawl when I move next week :( Oh well...

By Spottedkitty on Friday, December 07, 2001 - 2:04 am:

Completely pointless little thing..but I'm gonna gloat anyways. :)

I get cable tomorrow. /Finally/ access to SkyOne and the Sci-Fi channel. Yummy....then, at the end of January. 512k broadband cable connection. All for the same amount I'm paying BT. I am happy.

Just thought I'd share that with you all. =^_^=

URGENT NOTICE FOR THE BRITS:

Farscape goes TWICE WEEKLY from next week! But just for the two weeks - apparently it's to fit the end of the season in before the Winter Olympics.

N.B. the earlier start times on Thursday.

Monday 21st January, 6.45pm: "I-Yensch, You-Yensch"

Thursday 24th January, 6pm: "Into the Lions Den, Part 1: Lambs to the Slaughter"

Monday 28th January, 6.45pm: "Into the Lions Den, Part 2"

Thursday 31st January, 6pm: Season finale

This according to Farscape World

Gotta love the Beeb for getting it right for once - I'd have expected them to just dump the series two episodes from the end, so I'm very impressed and grateful for this.

By FFA on Tuesday, January 15, 2002 - 8:47 am:

Cheers for that Callie...now you've got two people jelous at you. Apparently instead of the double helping of Farscape, we in Scotland get the usual Gaelic programs...I just hope BBC Scotland ain't gonna cut off the last two eps otherwise I shall be a trifle annoyed at them.

Yay! Got my Farscape 3.1 Deluxe Set through the post on Satuarday (I was away for the weekend) however as usual the UK postal service leaves alot to be desired. Few bashes and knocks on it...anyways, for those not in the know this boxset was limited to 34000 boxes and conatained a Farscape1 watch and the frist two (of ten) lithographs containing pre-show artwork.

Tis yummy. ^_^

By Callie on Tuesday, April 02, 2002 - 1:36 pm:

*ummss*...Callie m'dear, it seems you posted it twice. Was that intentional? :)

Anyways...I hate to sound all geeky like but anyone thats a fan of Farscape may wanna rush out and buy the 3.4 Deluxe Double DVD Region2 Boxset. Why? I hear you ask...well, because the boxset is in limited numers (only just got mine after a two week delay) and now I know why. It's got a (really nicely done) replicate Moya communicator annnnnnnndddddddd a duplicate animation cell from Revenging Angel. :)
This has been the best of the boxsets so far...I'm wondering what they're gonna be doing for the last one now.

By Callie on Friday, September 06, 2002 - 6:39 am:

*sigh* Thanks, Kitty – I had so many problems getting the darned thing to take, it’s not surprising it got the hiccups! I think I’ve corrected it properly now.

For those of us saddoes who’ve still only got a video, the boxset of Season 3 is due out in Britain on 14th October. Hopefully this will contain stuff that had to be edited from the BBC versions.

By merat on Friday, September 06, 2002 - 7:04 pm:

how about us saddos who haven't even got the season 1 box set out yet or more than a couple of season 2 DVDs released? :)

By SpottedKitty on Saturday, September 07, 2002 - 6:19 am:

Quite simple. Move over here merat =^_^=

I'm surprised you don't have a DVD player yet Callie. I've had mine for a few years now and wish /everything/ was out on DVD...especially since just recently my two VCRs decided they're gonna gang up on me and start eating my VHS colelction. :P

By Callie on Saturday, September 07, 2002 - 11:15 am:

Two VCRs AND a DVD??!!! That’s either showing off or you’re incredibly wealthy. If it’s the latter, any chance of marrying me? :-)

By SpottedKitty on Saturday, September 07, 2002 - 12:13 pm:

Heyyy, these things just seem to appear around me. =^_^=

I also have a nice (But getting past its Use By Date) PC and several consoles. I'm a very technologically orientated person...I also know people who are worse than me. ;)

By Douglas Nicol on Monday, September 09, 2002 - 4:03 pm:

I've noticed that there seem to be more DVD sets with just four episodes rather than 5 per box. The third season really is fast paced mind you.

By SpottedKitty on Tuesday, September 10, 2002 - 5:11 am:

Hmmss..I hate to go a bit Off-Topic here but is is another Henson production. It has kinda been pushed to the wayside due to the horrible news and there is so far (I think) no board for it...but anyways.

Did anyone see that Dinotopia thing on Sky One on Sat/Sun there? I thought it was rather good, certainly has potential. Specifically Zippo, a CG Dino, is one of the main characters and, while not as "real" looking as Rygel and Pilot daes a damned good job.

By Spottedkitty on Saturday, December 21, 2002 - 4:02 am:

Well, I ain't gonna be around for the next few days (no net acces waaaaa....) so hope everyone has a nice Christmas and NewYears! :)

By SpottedKitty on Saturday, May 10, 2003 - 10:46 am:

For those of us in the UK, The Sci-Fi channel have done a Glimpse/Close Encounter interview with Mr Ben Browder. I didn't catch it all but what I did see was rather interesting.

Unfortunately I'm not sure when, where or if they'll be repeating this interview but normally these things run for a few weeks.

By Josh M on Monday, September 15, 2003 - 12:26 pm:

Has anyone seen this? I thought it was hilarious:

By Influx on Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 9:29 am:

Help requested! Is the image on the TV screen in this picture from Farscape?

I have yet to see the show and don't want to FF through everything to find out. The reason is being discussed in this thread - forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=105870 on the JREF Forums.

There have already been a lot of suggestions as to what it could be from -- we're looking for the definitive screen capture. Thanks!

By Merat-Firefly Mod on Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 1:32 pm:

Not that I'm aware of, Influx. It doesn't seem familiar from any Sci-Fi I've seen. Looks more like a fantasy movie to me.

By ScottN on Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 2:17 pm:

Looks almost like something from inside Disney's Haunted Mansion ride. Maybe it's from that movie?

By Influx on Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 3:10 pm:

ScottN -- yes, we've had much speculation on that movie and it appears not to be the case. I saw a screen cap and it was much different. It was my first thought also, but only from the ride, not the movie.

Some of the recent suggestions have been about Farscape (hence my posting here), but none have panned out yet.

By David (Guardian) on Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 10:01 pm:

Don't know if this helps, but the name of the image file is "angelinthetv1.jpg". I've never heard of a show with that name.

By Merat on Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 10:24 pm:

That's likely the name the guy who took the screenshot of the program gave it.

By Callie on Friday, February 22, 2008 - 2:21 am:

I'm sure I've seen that picture before, but I'm 99.9% certain it doesn't come from Farscape. So far, though, I can't think where I've seen it before.

By Merat on Friday, February 22, 2008 - 10:37 am:

I'm in exactly the same boat, Callie. It's really REALLY familiar, but I can't place it. I want to say I saw it at around 3am one night though, like on one of those Madam Cleo commercials.

By Merat on Friday, February 22, 2008 - 10:40 am:

Miss Cleo, rather. Do a search for Miss Cleo and one of the first things that shows up is a picture of Tor Johnson!
